  • Feel better hun!!

My vote is to find out what the likely costs of adequate new sofas and wardrobes are, against the cost of the ones you really want, against not having them at all. See what balances the books and happiness fairly and write down all the figures so you have it to hand.

I said elsewhere, the only things in my flat that are not rubbish, hand me downs or bought super cheap and look it, are my sofa & my mattress & duvet. ;) Some things aren't worth a compromise :D xxx

The wardrobes that we have at the moment are second hand on their last legs having being moved 3 or maybe 4 times over the last 13 years. :o The ones I want are currently half price in the sale so I think I will buy them new for our room and keep looking for the little Hinges, they all currently have clothes rails for their dress up outfits so they could be used short term until we get new ones if it comes to that.

Man flu is still lingering and my face feels like it's been repeatedly kicked by a donkey on speed.

Superman went back to school today, Missy Hinge did this morning and master Hinge had a full day at preschool. Mr Hinge and I have being cleaning up and de-cluttering. we de-clutter so often I am amazed at how we can still have so much stuff left :rotfl:

I have spoken to school and they have returned missy Hinge's DLA report, I have confirmation they received the additional info that I sent also so fingers crossed we get a decision soon rather than later!! Missy Hinge could really use the money for some more thermals, dr M boots, a electric bed and a few other bits to help her be more comfy and in less pain in this horrid cold weather.

meals this week will include chicken, chicken, chicken and maybe just maybe some chicken :o:o (YS chicken breasts £6 paid for 5kgs :j:j) ignored the fact were moving and are meant to be emptying the freezer not fillings it :o:o:o

    Best chicken recipies please :rotfl:

  • Do you have an Ikea near you? I got my boys' some decent bedroom furniture from there and it wasn't expensive.

Hmm, chicken curry, chicken pasta, roast chicken, chicken fajitas, chicken stew, chicken soup, chicken kievs, chicken sandwiches???

    Hey yummy mummy,

I have mainly been recuperating and packing! my fluey bug really put me on my @£$e and I've been pinching every available opportunity to get in some nana naps!

How are you Lilt? Your back any better?

  • Yay I conjured you up!

Glad you have been recuperating. Nana naps sound awesome!

I am good thanks hun. Got Jellys new cold/cough bug and everytime I cough I think I am going to dislodge a chunk of my spine. Will be calling the hospital Monday as my consultation is not until 27th Feb and I am really not feeling any better and taking more painkillers. My back feels incredibly weak and unstable at the bottom so I would like it looked at in case I put a disk out again somehow.

I am really cheery though. So far 2015 is a great year! :D

Packing... the one thing about moving that fills me with dread. I love the rest. The cleaning, before and after in both places, and the arranging and fitting stuff in... but the packing. If I ever win the lottery I am taking only what I can carry from my flat to my new giant house and starting all over again ;) xx

..... creeps in, must put some WD40 on that creaky door :rotfl:

I have taken some time getting over this fluey bug, it's been 'orrible!

Today I have chased up DLA for missy Hinge.... still no decision  she continues on a part time time table at school and is exhausted and in pain all the time :(

house..... waiting on checks coming back but they have everything they need...... no packing as of yet. need to find some boxes!!

car booked in for MOT and service next week..... money saved in the car account.

Budget looking ok, have had rather alot of take aways and fast food this last 2 weeks mainly due to feeling like death all of the time and giving in to Mr H to avoid his nagging/sulking/grumbling tummy! as we haven't being out our activity fund has covered this and the food budget has remained on target.

Missy H's school trip to france is all paid and her spending money already sorted.

All Mr H debts are on 0% and I have broken the next barrier and are in the £17k owing now!

    How is everyone else?

Stripe the sofa is missing your custard creams!!

  • YAY to 17k barrier being busted! Well done you!!

See, even when you are super poorly you still put me to shame with all of your debt busting, activity, juggling children and illness! You didn't need to share your bugs for me to know you love me by the way ;) I don't like this cold one bit!

Glad that takeaways have been covered from other pots. Sometimes you just can't be bothered... I have had 2 takeaways this month. Thats more than in the 3 before that combined, so I feel quite guilty but I will get back on the wagon next month, not least because the floor creaks when I walk on it, never mind the door ;)

Big hugs to you! Nice to see you so positive. What did you decide on the wardrobes etc? :D xx
