It's so confusing with Plasma (LCD), am i right in thinking the more you spend the better the TV?0

Are you indicating that you consider that Plasma = LCD? It doesn't.Plasma (LCD)
For TVs up to 37", LCD seems to be the one to go for. For 40/42" it's a matter of personal preference - the Gadget Show's tests on Panasonic plasma vs Samsung LCD came out "you takes yer choice" depending what's important to you.
I haven't paid any attention to larger sizes, given that even 23" is out of my range
And having said all that - good ole CRT is best for standard definition digital reception, but the manufacturers are not producing them much. The only reason I'd go for an LCD is the size:weight ratio - a 32" CRT can weigh 50kg

I know that this might not seem like a bargain as it is £1K but thought for the size and the resolution that it was a good price, could anyone help?
Its from Play and its a 40 inch Samsung with HD, 1080p resolution and Blu - ray ready, only thing is that I don't think it has freeview but I already have a top set box.

Can anyone tell me if this is a good deal. Was thinking of getting a Hd ready tv but was going to get a 42 inch for £699 from Comet. Is this a better deal? I dont really need the extra 10"

Its a good deal if you want a 32". Lots of 32" at £399 now but not something with a brand like LG or looks quite as nice as that.0
