  • Hi,
One very important point when buying LCD Televisions.
ALWAYS look at the contrast ratio figure higher is best. Cheap LCD's will be about 500 to 800. What you need is a minimum of 1000, 1200 if you can, this will give you a good black to white range and not a washed out looking picture.
The only exception to this rule is Samsung their contrast ratios are way above any other makes, maybe they are using their own formula? but they are not the cheapest.
The DABS value is 1200 to 1 for the price it seems a good buy but the Aoc LCD TV's I've got one myself the 32", very good picture quality are 1200 to 1 and you also giet a 2 year warranty.

Just out of curiosity, on your AOC, what have you got the Brightness & Contrast set at?
We've got ours at around 62 on both, which seems a little high to me.
Bright pictures are fantastic, but the black is still a little off-key.....
