You're doing so well MWNM. And like others have said, once the big changes are done and you've got your budget sorted out and the debts are going down, it feels like just waiting then for the debts to go away.

At times like that I have a wee scout around on here and try to find myself a challenge. There are loads to try, like 'every penny's a prisoner' to see how much cash you can find on the street when you're out and about. I've found odd pennies and 5p then got so excited over finding 40p on a bus!

There are loads of challenges and they can really help you stay motivated.

Good luck. You're doing amazingly well. :)

The £1 coins inthe changing room lockers always get me overexcited!;):rotfl:;)

Good idea of Ani's.............have a look at the challenges some of them are quite addictive, cost nothing and build up a bit of spare cash

Hiya girls, thank You very much for keeping posting to me, while I have been missing :A. I have been working overtime, putting in some day shifts, 8am till 8pm.........OMG it ate up all my time  by the time I got in, had a bath and something to eat I was nodding off, had to go to bed, to get up for next day shift. How do people work days lol............lurrrrv my nights.

Quick update and I will catch up on diaries and reply to post tonight.

DH did not get the job I told yous about but a small job, which will bring in an extra £130 a month came his way, with a possibility of some extra hours :j:j:j

    AND

I have been awarded Rent Benefit and Council Tax Benefit. In total they add up to £290 a month :j:j:j. But now have to ring them to let then know about DH part time job. It states in letter that first £27.50 of your earning is not accountable, but don't know if this is joint or separate. So DH may not make that much difference, but however it turns out, we have extra money coming in.

Have a Fabulous day all and i will be back later to catch up on all the news and tips. My days all done, next over time is 4 nights :j lol.

    :)

  • I work with Adults with Special Needs. Its not as hard as it sounds, it quite easy going. Most are out at day centers between the hors of 9am and 4pm. Nights are brilliant, as they all sleep very well (8 in all).

I am lucky enough to love my work.

:rotfl:The £1 coins are mine :rotfl:, I often leave them behind not very :money:of me, but I did find a one once.

Yes I must look through the challenges. I do the sparkle challenge and only allowed to buy myself something if I have enough in my sparkle fund.

I use to work overnight shifts in childrens homes in the 1980's...... it helped me decide to go into a career in education rather than social work:D

Oh I feel bad now..................er no I dont:o each one I find goes into my 'road kill' jar - me and the DD2 are in competition as to who can find the most road kill in 2012 - she is winning. I use those £ coin size keyring tokens now for trollies and lockers and I have noticed my source of the little beauties is not as fruitful as it has been!

    L :rotfl:L, I kept the one I found.

I wonder next time if I am in the changing rooms alone, whether I should go round and check !!!

I have a ledge at the head end of my bath. It used to be full of shampoos, conditioners and bubble baths. Now stands one bottle of shampoo, 1 bottle of bubble bath and a half bottle of hair container. I am not replacing the conditioner when it empty. DH does not use it and my hair is cropped short. and is fine without conditioner.

  • No winning lol !

I am now concerned, that I have some breathing space money wise. I will slide back a bit and not be so :money:. I have been fine as there was no cash to spend.

1st job is to clear Payday Loan. I get paid this friday. My benifit have been back dated to the Monday after I first applied. So when I get paid on Friday I can work on my reduced rent and council tax. So in May I should be able to clear Pay Day Loan, in one full payment :j. I am going to ring them on Monday and ask them to take full amount owing, instead of roll over payment of £100 .

    :)
