Not a lot happening,...... no pennies to spend. fighting the urge to borrow on occasion.
On the bright side I have managed to pay £300 for two of us to spend 5 days in wales. BB and evening meal included and two full day out excursions. Travel Monday and Friday so only 3 days really ! Now sorting some spending money. I think thats what has got me down and the thoughts of borrowing again !!! Was telling myself just £100 but talked myself out of it.
I go away two weeks on Monday. When I get back I should have a bit of breathing space. With no holiday money to put away.
Also hear yesterday that theater has asked me back to do fittings and alterations for panto again this year, so that will be £1200 that was my pay last Christmas. I am putting it towards a new car, well different car. This one is too big for us now and too costly to run. So after hols, will look around at prices etc.
Have a good weekend all.Provident[STRIKE] £550[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£450[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£400[/STRIKE] £300, Friend [STRIKE]£1000[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£900[/STRIKE], £800 :j

Hope you have a relaxing holiday MWNM. OH and I had a break in the Highlands the week before last - also Monday - Friday. A very long coach journey but worth it for the wonderful scenery. Would like another break in October but will have to save hard! DD is really worrying me - no job, no motivation and a mountain of debt. She seems to think I can solve all her problems with constant handouts. I can't - she's 26 and I should'nt have to! :mad:Sorry to moan but have just got off phone with her after a long (argumentative) conversation. Have a good week MWNM - and everyone!:)0

Hiya All and Thank You so much for your continued support.
I just seem to have lost the will to do this anymore. Been sooo close to getting another loan !!! 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Last time being 3 days ago and at the last minute changed my mind. Pleased with myself but still down.
Its really strange, I have been like this since paying off my PDL !!! I thought I would feel over the moon. I wonder if I have lost my debt security blanket !!!!! does that make sense ? just a thought ? Been in debt all my adult life and the less I owe, it seems the more down I become. Crazy or what ????
On a brighter note, a job in the offing for DH. A friend of his is moving onto another job and they have ask him if he could recommend anyone, Tel numbers exchanged yesterday, so will wait and see. Trying yet again not to build up hopes, buts its not easy.

I can understand all that - but dont give up you have done so well. Have you thought about building up a little emergency fund in a credit union so you can dip into if needed then you wont need to get a PDL.......its worth looking into. I havent used a CU but I know lots who have nad they all have found them very useful.
I guess you need to ask what you need the money from a PDL for and then see where you can make some changes - there is a lot of good advice/hints/tips on the boards - you will be surprised what people do to earn/save some extra cash! Have you though of doing on line surveys for example? I do a couple and make about £20 a month - which I know doesnt sound a lot but a £20 tesco voucher is very handy and soon we will all be thinking about Christmas so I ah saving mine up for vouchers from Boots/M&S etc which I will either use to give as pressies or spend to buy presents with.
Hoping the OH gets that job - fingers crossedBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Igamogam, Thank You for your comments. I do seem to get a grip at the last moment and realize how big a mistake, getting another loan out would be. Its just for day to day living. Just having one wage, its hard to get buy. But I think as well, its missing my old life style, not being able to get this or that, counting every penny. But facts are facts and I have to drag myself on the wagon and get back on with it.
OK winge over........just gotta do this.Provident[STRIKE] £550[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£450[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£400[/STRIKE] £300, Friend [STRIKE]£1000[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£900[/STRIKE], £800 :j

Pay Day Today :j Monies alloted to there places. Reloaded my spending app on my mobile and will be logging everything again from today.
We go on out little holiday on Monday, we will be back Friday. All meals included, so this will save us on spending. Bringing NO junk home ( just beginning to see spaces after my sorting out) and defiantly NOOOO clothes, Ive got loads. I must admit I have not bought any new clothes to go away with. But have treat myself to a new pair of sandals. Considering that in the past everything in my case would have been new, Ive done OK.
Must do some work on my procrastination, this weekend. To do list getting longer not shorter.
Over spending, over eating and procrastination.......they are the ruin of me. Should be easy to put right too......So why don't I ?

Hey Money
I completely understand what you mean about feeling down when you had paid off your loan. (sorry if I am repeating myself, I know I posted something similar to this on someone's diary but I can't remember who's) I became completely debt free on 1st December 2011. I had waited for the day for so long and I was so excited about it. I paid over the last of the money to the bank and waited for the euphoria. It didn't comeIn fact, I felt more depressed than I had for a long time. I waited weeks before I felt able to add my name to the debt free roll of honour. I would say that it took me until about March/April to start feeling better. I also discovered it wasn't just me, a lot of people on here have felt like that when they have paid off their debt. You are not alone! I joined the £12k in 2012 challenge and now I am putting all my extra money towards that. I am slighly behind target (my target is £5k) and that seems to be giving me the feeling I long for.

Have a great holiday MWNM. Relax - you deserve it. Postpone all worries. ( I really should take my own advice ). Have paid £66 this morning on an unexpected car repair. DD visiting this afternoon. Not really in the mood for our usual spat over money issues!0
