Baby Girl Names

  • I'm Sorry but what had started off as the OP asking a question about her baby girl has now turned into to a !!!!!ing fight?! People have different tastes.

OP call your baby whatever you feel is right, because the name won't change how your baby is brought up, or they way they are perceived by other people. Let us know how you get on :)

I do agre, but then most people will not poll their childs name, or put it up for debate. By the OP doing so, she will get a varied response to her choices.
  • I'm worried now!! Not pregnant yet, but already have some names picked...therefore can people please vet them for me! Certainly don't what a chav name! I have Hollie, Olivia, Heidi, Iris, Giselle and Layla. For boys, we picked Finley, Max, Alex, Mason, Lucas, Oscar, Leo and Leon. Thoughts?!

That's the thing though, a name will do just that. If an employer (excluding Tesco and the like) sees the name "Emilee" on a CV, then they will make a judgment. They just will.

Personally I love Hollie and Max.

    Eh, yes it will.

Who do you think is perceived to be the most likely to be a solicitor:

    Whitney or Celia?

    Daisee Mae or Rachel?

Ti - annah Leigh or Veronica?

    BJ or Jonathan?

Of course we judge others by these things - and on a CV where you only have the written word, you are condemning these kids to rejection letters aplenty.
    :hello:

Yes but does it mean that her baby (or child) will end up being what people think an Emilee will be like. I agree that first impressions count, but not as much as the lasting impression.

I'm sorry if I am being too defensive, and everybody has the right to voice their own opinion, but some people are a bit too rude at times.

IMO, the spelling of Layla looks a bit "we wanted to make it a bit different and uneek, innit", and I'd go for Leila. And Mason is chavvy.

Love Hollie spelled that way, though.;)

BJ would inevitably get jokes referencing blow jobs!
