Car boot today and bought a bag of clothes for £3.50. One item is for my son, a rather cool army style jacket that will probably be good for this summer and I will sell it when he's grown out of it so that's a profit for the future :D there was also some new girls clothes and a dress from Mango and Gul shorts, looking forward to some good profits there :D shame it's summer clothes though, may have to wait a while before putting it on eBay.

Oooooh good luck with ur purchases nat :)

I got loads of my double money items listed on the bay over the weekend - have started them all at £5+ to see how they go this week and will judge the interest before dropping the price if necessary. With a bit of luck i will get my initial £50 back this week and start to see a profit ;) Have decided to hold off on purchasing anything more until i have banked the £50 and then i'm working purely on the profits!

am off to check on one poll and zopa to see how they are growing :D

    Zopa - £697.28 :) almost in the £700's yey!

No sales of my double your money items yet, although I do have interest in all three. I am hoping that I can get 50Euros for the three items which I only paid £5 for. I have sold three items from my house though this last week on ebay. Two meerkats from Compare the Meerket website and a baby monitor that I haven't used for a couple of years. I am trying to clear the house and buy things in to sell at the same time. If the first three items go, then I need to start looking for some more items to sell!!

I've actually started doing this recently, before even seeing the thread.

So far I've been buying and selling old film cameras and lenses. I started with one worth £15, which I've used to trade, buy and sell my way to £45. I've tripled my money, but I feel that I need something else to use this money towards, I'm only making a couple of pounds from each camera and they can be pretty hard to sell.

    Any suggestions?

If you want to stick with a particular product type what about things like camera bags, tripods and books?? I can't say what kind of profit margin there might be but might be worth a try :)

That's definitely an option, but I think I want a change. I've stuck with the cameras for a couple of weeks now and sales are starting to get a bit slow, however I've only really been selling to friends on Facebook etc. Maybe I should look to sell on ebay, which is where I find most of my stock.

Any ideas for other methods? I've seen you mention that you lend on zopa, is that a good option for me?
