blinking cold here, now that the sun has gone down, so hubby is chopping some wood ..

Alfie..... You are such a sweetheart.....thank you:beer: In all honesty we havent got a clue what we need.... I think we will find out what we need when we start work:eek:

I really am having the heebeegeebees.....now.... Maybe i should have listened to davesnave... And not have spent all and more of our funds:cool: But then i didnt know a week later i would have had the bombshell news about losing work....

Soooooooooo today i have opened a new ebay account.. So i will have one purely for sales for work, and my original account for personal sales;)....i hate it... As we will have to leave 3 part-timers go:o

right that is going to be the last i mention work ( hopefully)

Alf, well done on the Bay sales, you're putting me to shame :o

The brass areoplane looks like a WWII 4 engine bomber, dont think its a Lancaster though. The print, poss from a book, anyone speak German for the top line? Worth putting the script in the listing, may be an old engraving of value but buyers will need words in listing to trigger search engine hits

    Alf, male duck massage!!!??? :D

CTC, prob said this before but an old boss (one of the few I respected) told me you have to first try if you want to succeed. You've made the commitment, so go for it girl!!

Charity shop chains? Been listening to Mary Portas a bit too much, free stock + high street prices may work for a short while but in the long term?

Wheres the money nowadays? Less in the UK than before. 3 out of 8 items sold yesterday shipped abroad. Tonight, have mainly chinese bidders competing on a high price camera.

Poured down incessantly & still is - and you lot are short of water we hear.............

Tired out after weekend listing frenzy & cats keeping me awake - weird how they get hyper before the weather worsens.

I don't seem to be able to post on ebay forum - anyone know why that should be?

Rummer - quite right. The soil hasn't warmed up that much, and the wind is deadly cold. I think I'll be as late as I was last year getting stuff in....but that's okay - things catch up ...usually.

A gas cylinder costs £49 here now....I think that's incredibly dear - seems to go uo in leap & bounds.

this is the reply i got re type of plane..... seems to be popular and im hoping its my "foden" ;) :rotfl::rotfl:

Hi, you wanted to know the identification. It's WW2, British RAF, 4 engined with twin tail rudders. It's NOT a Lancaster. The leading edge of those rudders has a slight central point, so they would be triangular, which means it's an (early) Handley Page Halifax with Merlin engines

re duck....well someones gotta do it..:D
    re picture.....yes boss....done :D

Got up 3 hours earlier than usual this morning (couldn't sleep) yet have achieved beggar all today!

The only thing I managed was I potted up my french beans ready to take to the garden I volunteer at, and then one of my cats ate them all :( I thought he was asleep, now I know he was sneakily getting his greens intake. BAH!

He'll be farting like a trooper tonight!

Cant make out first two words, poss. his or horse's name? After that its "oder passagiren gerade aus"?? which may well translate to the french equivalent in line 2, but which just gets me to the metro :D

I think it may have been taken from an old book given the Plate No 42. Style looks pretty old. If you could decipher the name you could probably trace it back....maybe....with a following wind :rotfl:
