rhiwie I think it a vintage shirt collar box?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Quality-Mens-Leather-Collar-Box-/330859189811?pt=UK_Vintage_Accessories&hash=item4d08be9633
When I sold one a few years back it went for about £10, looks as though they are about the same priceWork to live= not live to work0 -
Yes CTC, thats it! I'm old enough that I should have recognised it but when I was a nipper we were too poor to have collars, they were for the gentry0

It said there was something embedded on the page which led to a known malware site so better safe than sorry was my thought.
Sorry rhiw. I can find some pottery artists who sign HJ (eg Harriet Joor & Holly Jackson) but nothing in a style like the plate. Also not sure of that date as it could be any one of several options0 -

Being me, I followed the link with my browser in a sandbox, then ran a malware scan, but I found nowt. Now I've deleted the sandbox.0 -
OH and I have just been sitting at the kitchen bifold watching a flock of long tailed tits scoffing fat balls and seed. :j
Kitchen full of delicious smells of garlic roasted chicken, with stuffing and bacon and sausages and roastie spuds and parsnips. Yum! Our Sunday Lunch put off for a day as yesterday we had Saturday's Stew... Which I couldn't eat as it had tomato and celery in, which may be very nice but I didn't like it. So ended up with sardines on toast instead.Next time will oversee the stew making!
So am really looking forward to a decent roast!
Oh, the reason we didn't have the Saturday Stew on Saturday was OH went over to visit his Mum in the Nursing home - by time he got home it was too late to both cook and eat the stew.Memory is as bad as ever - Friday evening, her first night in the NH her eldest grandaughter visited. When OH went over on Sat she'd forgotten already. Oh, and when he took her up to her room she looked around it and told him she didn't recognise the room at all. Thank goodness we have the Memory Clinic assessment coming up on the 16th. Might give us some clue as to how we progress things.
Sorry for the downer post!
At least the birds and roast chicken are positive things!:rotfl:
