well done, and good luck, fingers crossed you get a quick smooth sale, without any hic-ups:beer::beer:
getting worried now about this 3 day crafter show in a few weeks:o:o
thought I would have had some nice cotton fabric through for the quilters, but hardly anything, its mainly curtain/upholstery or polyester fabric, I do have a bit of vintage barkcloth/glass fabric and heavy wool fabric, but I dont know how well it will sell, especially as it is quite expensive..
Its going to be a hard slog.... why did bl00dy book it??????? its bad enough with 2 days trading at the spring show, let alone 3 days!!!!
Being realistic I shouldnt have booked it, as I with the stock I have I will be hard pressed to cover costs...will def have to take some crafting grade welsh blankets, and hope that they will sell
ITSME.. didnt realise grey squirrels didnt sleep for the winter these days....The whole place has to be re-wired anyway, and next week !!! the electric is being switched off, and new power points added just under the fuse box, which will be the only live elctric in the building, so now we dont have to !!!!!foot around any cables:D
right my cuppa and garibaldi biscwits are calling:pWork to live= not live to work0 -
What's your heavy wool fabric ctc? Where is the crafters fair?0
-
LIR its in the motorpoint arena in Exeter
the wool fabric are vintage remnants, cant remember offhand, think they are pinestripe type stuff, will have a better idea next week when I start trying to dig it out:rotfl:
Being totally honest I am worried because this will be the first time since the bump we will be out in the van, and caravan:o Plus its a alot bigger caravan than we had before,
My vintage perfume has bids and quite a few watchers.. so might be worth rhiwie, choille and Alfie keeping an eye out for vintage miniature perfume bottles full, part used or empty on your travels..
my carboot is full again of all sorts of fruit/veg my car is starting to stink of a fruit and veg stall now:rotfl:Work to live= not live to work0 -
In one of the £2 boxes at the last auction was a Revlon Moon Drops globe which should sell pretty well. And an antique deer foot beagle whip!
TBH we keep an open mind when it comes to value, if you look at some of our recent sales its often the less obvious things that someone will pay good money for, so a thorough sort and research after purchase does pay dividends!0 -
Ctc I am sure you will be fine. If I had a caravan I would trust you with it I am pretty sure.
That place down in Exeter, I have been to a couple of things there (not crafty) and it was decent.
My new cockeral seems very calm and settled. But his crow is like a deflating whoopee cushion, very depressing! The geese are penned in down by the cake as have been off to look for girls the last two or three days.0 -
deflated whooppee cushion lol:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Off to pig auction this morning... cant buy anything:o, but its just to keep up with what is being sold etc, plus we want to start to get our faces known around the auctions;)
There is a pig auction in hereford on the 17th, so if we are not to manic ( or need an excuse for a day off wor;)) then we might take a toddle over there too..
right better get changed cant really go to the auction in my dressing gown well I could but I am sure the men in white coats will appearWork to live= not live to work0 -
Fruit plants bought now will be capable of division later, giving you more for your £, even if just heeled-in somewhere temporary for a year.;)
Just been out on patrol....in my tee shirt! Really, this weather isn't right.
Best of luck with the house, Alex.0 -
The birds were singing their little hearts out here this morning. It was 13 degrees last night when we were out (9 up on the moors) & it's supposed to be warmer today ~ very odd for January.
I should get some netting for my strawberry plants, or maybe something big & spiky to deter council workmen piddling all over them!! I noticed yesterday that some of the leaves have turned yellow _pale_
Alex, good luck with selling the house, we are still 3 ish years away from being able to move but I'm already planning...'A watched potato will never chit'...0 -
Still much the same here. Damp, dull but no downpours.
Haven't decided what to do today yet. Maybe a walk. The old backs are complaining so we want a day off from digging, sweeping, hoeing, lifting &, as you'll all know, that covers pretty much everything when it comes to landwork :rotfl: It will give my hands a rest, too.
Good luck with the house, Alex.
I think the SE market is moving pretty well so hopefully it won't be too long before you have interest.0
