:o Thanks. A good day for me, obviously. Right, I've put off digging trenches for long enough. I better get going or it will be dark. It's still wet & miserable here :(

    I've been Money Tipped!
Ok, so I know I could not afford a road sweeper that we drive in, but they do smaller push models don't they? I wonder if these ever appear on eBay or sales and how much they go for.

My urge to get a clean yard without ringing my head and losing vision is coming to a head!

Just a thought but a two tine fork lift with a spaldings push broom might work?

It was drizzly and dull today :( so I stayed in and did some cleaning and budget planning :(

I really want to be out in the garden doing things. Why is it when I can go out and work I would rather be indoors and when I can't go out and work in the garden I am itching to get started :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

A surprise family trip to the panto this evening, I am looking forward to shouting "He's behind you!"

Pressure washer is the easiest & quickest if you have somewhere for the water to go.

That's it. Knackered. Back has set rigid. Barnet looks like I'm taking part in the resurrection of the musical Hair. Hands - can't feel them & am just hoping they don't swell up too much :(.
BUT ....... have dug more than 100 yards &, water is currently staying on the far side of the road. :j
This may be temporary. We'll have to wait for a sharp downpour to see if there's more needs to come out.

LIR - If you really want a broom John Deere do some for ride-ons but I shouldn't think many turn up for sale second hand.

    Quick hello and then offski.

Rather belated season's greetings; tried to get on-line but could see and not post!

Interesting trip to the lovely West Country; with no trains beyond Bristol forcing an overnighter. Couldn't have even got home at that stage as those trains were not running (think they were all stuck the other side of Cowley Junction?)

Wet as wet up here since I got back although yesterday and toady were largely dry. Everything still sodden though.

choille - glad the house is intact even if the van is suffering. How long before the roof is water-tight?

Imh - sounds like a good job done. Warm your mitts carefully. What I call swearing fingers - I find it help reduce the pain, or at least distracts me for a while.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

Thanks RAS for th kind thought. The problem isn't the cold it's pressure urticaria.
Gripping a spade & lifting wet soil isn't kind to it, unfortunately. However, it looks like it'll be just a few lumps & bumps & not overall swelling which is good. I kept my leather gloves on throughout which usually helps.
