Hope your Mum gets better soon Lucielle.
Materials are all shooting up in price so it's a struggle affording to get our next batch of timber & save for three windas I've ordered.
Don't know how to live any cheaper than we're doing otherthan eat cheaper, but we like good grub!

Those were good sales rhiwfield, our ebay shop is picking up and OH couldn't get closed on Saturday because people were coming in. I suppose its the time of year when everyone wants their lawnmowers sefvicing. One place (our competition) is quoting 8 weeks turnaround) at the moment we're at 2 but the workshops full!

Very warm here too, but I cut ours :p with the 'self propelled' mower Pete gave me; that's the one I must push! Well, I cut until the bolts fixing the motor to the deck undid themselves, anyway.....

Great result! I don't suppose the Dinky toy was the 1950s dustcart? As I recall, that became very sought after. I'm not surprised, because its popularity with kids was zilch! It was the Dinky toy you prayed your aunt wouldn't buy you for Christmas. :rotfl:

Reminds me of when I totalled a reputedly indestructible Hayterette :o

It was a Foden flatbed, but I'll keep an eye out for dustcarts as well ;)

Lucielle, I'm one of those dinosaurs that thinks the mower should start and perform perfectly without attention (see Hayterette above )

    oh bless you CTC.:D

    well the latest news is...............
last night BIMBLE shot out the door [dog flap] and i could hear him barking like mad [labs just made out they were asleep !!]

i could also hear my eagle owl flapping around against the side of his aviary ???
i went out with my torch and thought i heard a "yell"?? i heard lots of noise via the bushes by the aviary and headed that way...
Bimble was going mental at the fence to the woods.
i checked the owl and he was upset, then i noticed the latch was half undone on his shed !
i think someone came back [whilst im watching telly as this was about 10pm] thought there was chooks in the shed and met my BIG owl instead ! and he is BIG !!
not sure if the yelp was from an owl attack or wether bimble bit the person / persons .......:D
i put a big sign up on the side of the road today saying...

I HAVE HAD THIEVES HERE. IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN BITTEN BY A DOG OR HAS DEEP CLAW MARKS ...LET ME KNOW PLEASE.... thankyou

ALTHOUGH I DONT HAVE ANY "IN SIGHT" NEIGHBOURS.... [sorry left capitals on :o] i let the people down the lane know who have a few hens but no-one else keep chooks etc !
im not tooo worried re mabel as i dont think anyone is that daft to try to get to her [even if they have a bucket full of donuts ,the sight of her doing her impersonation of a charging bull elephant would make em get thier running shoes on !!]
i seriously think its someone local, maybe some lads from next village [bit of a history iv heard ;)] but iv put the word out and i dont think i will be bothered again ....:D the thought of me displaying thier "growth bombs" on the spikes on my railings is enuff me finks ...:D
