I wanted to share this with you. My dream, is one day to own our own smallholding, so on one of my searches on google i came accross this wonderful little place in Ireland. I absolutely LOVE it! Not possible for me unfortunately at the moment, but its so lovely i wanted to let you all see it. Cant believe the asking price!!! x

  • Hi Yorkieorchid.. nice place.....

    Huston I have a problem......:o

kitten is lovely etc, no problems there, BUT this evening i heard a cat crying at our back door, inside the outhouse, went out and there was a torti cat with a flea collar half under its leg:eek:, it wouldnt let me go near it. 10 mins later it was back again, but sitting on my washing machine, soooooooooo to try and get hold of it, to try and sort the collar out, I left the kitchen door open, it came straight in and started eating the cat food, when I picked it up I managed to get the collar off, but it has cut in deep under its arm pit, and the stench was terrible:eek::eek:.

Its all skin and bone, so I left it eating some food, and left the back door open so it could go if it wanted.

Anyway cut a long story short it is now sitting in the kitchen mewing, looking very sorry for its self:o:o.

I know its not our cat, and by the looks of it it hasnt been at its own home for a long while, so if it is still around tomorrow, after work, I will take it to the vets, as I think there is an infection.

God my old cat 'streaky' doesnt know what the heck is happening..

There is no way I am going to go to a animal rescue, as they are porb up to their eyeballs in it, or they might put it down, without giving it a chance...

CTC... you must keep the cat in if poss or it could die. sorry to be blunt but infection is awful. if you can take it to a pdsa, vet or charity that will treat it. i will pay and have it. i agree charities are full but if it came to you for help, please help it. i will cover costs. and home it.
dont let it near yours if poss. worms/fleas ? try and dribble warm water with the merest drop of antiseptic across the wound , dont try and wipe it ,just trickle the solution in and around it. warmth and food will help it to fight infection. i will pick it up if not and get it treated here ? i know im soft as sh*t but i had a dream and this seems like fATE for me.
  • Dont worry Alfie... I an going to take it to the vets tomorrow, it is in the kitchen now, and I have put our cat food into the living room for my cat and kitten...

I got a funy feeling eldest said he seen this cat around a few days ago, but will ask him, when he comes home...

What dream did you have Alfie??????

DDD1's new cat, a few years back, needed to either have a leg amputated or be put down, after a bite got infected. Vet did a special deal but still cost a packet to have the operation :(

Yorkie, nice place! Once had similar thoughts about a smallholding in France.

Alf, well done on the Bay!

Been slow but steady here. Too wet to do much outside so listing and selling (and lots of packing!). Will concentrate on Ebay rather than booting. Its a small but valuable source of income.

Dec 1st is looking to be not just a family get together but a full Crimbo including tree, lunch and pressies :D

That's a lot of value there, yorkieorchid. Prices in Ireland have bombed since the Crash, so it's a real possibility for those on a tight budget, and the fishing's a lot better than it is here too!

Am I dreaming? My forecast says no rain until Friday, and it didn't rain much overnight either! :j
