Alfie,
Yes, I will have her here.
New puppy has arrived. He is exceptionally clean, no mistakes in the house, and went through the night from about half ten till half five dry.
He does however need lots of toys. He has already decided shoes will do, lol.0 -
ooooo lovely how exciting LIR:T:j
has he still got his 'puppy breath'? I love the smell of puppies:cool::rotfl:
He sounds very well trained...
How are the others getting on with him?
It was Bl00dy freezing here last night, didnt lite the fire, But now I have decided to actually use a welsh blanket, rather than sell them:eek::rotfl: In all these years.. its a first..:rotfl:

Unlike duvets, wool blankets breathe so that you can get a comfortable nights sleep. We use them out of preference.
Dogs are great but after losing our last dog recently I dont think we'll get another.0 -
Woke up sneezing again this morning.....but only because one of the cats had stuck a whisker up my nose! She was trying to wake me gently.....:rotfl:
One of ours had a neat trick when he wanted out at early am.
Sit on the end of the bed and miaow gently.
No response, walk up the human and sit firmly on their chest.
No response, walk forward, place one paw carefully on the human's lips, to reduce breathing, then place the other paw firmly on the human's nose, flattening it to one side.
Get ready to move backwards quickly when the human responds to potential asphysixation. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
To be fair to the cat, my alarm had gone off, but I wasn't moving. She didn't know there's a fail-safe second alarm, so the chickens don't suffer! :rotfl:0

Nope, no more animals for us, either, rhiw. Footloose & fancy free is the way to go
Animals, like children, are a responsibility & shouldn't be shelved whenever one feels the need for a holiday or day out.
I'm not what is popularly called a bunny hugger.:D An animal is, at the end of the day, an animal - sorry that's not going to be popular with some people, I know.
I was brought up that all animals belong outside (unless particularly poorly) & being allergic to pet hair - lumps, bumps, rashes & wheezes - outside animals suit me just fine. (You'll have noticed there are no carpets in my place, rhiw.)
We allowed pets in our cottages for many years until dogs brought fleas in one. We then completely refurbished & stopped pets. Bookings were, if anything, up. Most people believe they have to accept pets but there are a great many people who are looking for places who don't take them either because of a medical condition, because they don't like the idea of fleas, ticks etc in the property or because some people are actually just scared of dogs.
Another lazy day.
Having decided that it's a total waste of time doing anything outside before next spring we can watch the miserable, cold weather from the warmth of indoors :cool:0 -
hellooooo.
well, ive seen CTC's piggynonames enviroment and they could not have had a happier home.:)
albeit im a "softie" i strongly feel that any animal deserves a dignified life and a dignified end. things/life is what it is but to bring cruelty into the food chain is in my books a big NO NO .......
i started to clean my house today but got a tad side tracked by progs on the TV....:o dont often see the antique'ee/house progs ..
been sent details of the desperate influx of unwanted hoss's into the rescue centre's.....:o ooooo eeerrrr

It happens every time.0 -
I believe animals are animals too itsme, it's just......I remember humans are animals too.
I have no problem with people who choose not to have anything ( pets/ children/whatever ) in their life though.0
