got him in easy, but when he was in, talk about vocal:eek:, wasnt too bad getting one of the girls in either...so hubb ys on his way there now..( on his big 50th birthday too:p)
so just come home before going to work to have a cuppa.
I thought I would have been a blubbering wreck, but 'distancing' myself from them the last week or so, has been good, as I dont feel sad at all ( well a little bit)
All I know is they couldnt have had a better time with us....
VERY busy day ahead of us in work... the washing machine will be on constantly going, getting clothes ready for the shop opening on saturday...
choille glad you are ok...:TWork to live= not live to work0 -
Wow, so quick ctc.
Have you got buyers for all the meat yet?0 -
So glad you've had some good news, choille. You've had a tough few months.
Hope to send our amended plans back to the architect soon, so we can get on and re-apply for PP. We've lost almost a year dithering, but we've probably saved ourselves from an expensive decision.
Oldtractor, that's 2 more eggs than we had yesterday! :rotfl:I'm sorry, I can't remember your exact circumstances, (have trouble with my own!) but I certainly know what feeling overwhelmed feels like. It would be lovely to have somewhere more up-togther......a bit like this, perhaps :

We viewed that one in 2008 when it was much more expensive and didn't have solar panels or a very established garden. The owner fibbed to us about its suitablity, saying it would make a great nursery, but the council's records showed he'd been forced to remove a polytunnel! It's an absolute steal for someone now, though.0 -

This month is tight here (I quite literally cannot afford a tin of beans until Thursday) but I will work through my freezer, let me know if you book any fairs in m4 corridor brizzle or whatever, I might be able to relieve you of some (you could wrap in blankets from your freezer and I could collect armed with cool box , ice things and more blankets.

I wish I lived closer, I'd have some"...And if it don't feel good, what are you doing it for?" - Robbie Williams - 'Candy'0 -
Everyone must have been really busy today!
Heating now not starting till Monday week after next.....brrrrrrrrrre. It's the bath really. I really, really want a bath. If we had a bath I would be in it now, if we had a bath and heating I would certainly have washed my hair tonight.
I cannot remember where I put the little plug in heaters to take the chill of the bedroom for drying hair either. Instead I will shower in the morning, and curse each time the plaster takes water from the tap closer to the mains than I am on the pipe!0 -

It would be an easy place to look after, and the house itself is well designed and finished, if a bit modern for many here. I wouldn't mind, as I'm not hung-up on old places at all, having lived in a few!
I'm a big fan of that area, though I prefer Lampeter, about 6 miles along the road.0 -

Well, I suppose so, but I just can't believe how short the days are now. I was all set to knock up more cement when I realised it was almost dark!
I've done lots of silly little jobs, like laying paving slabs outside the new hen house, putting posts in, reading the meters and processing toms for the freezer. It doesn't seem to have amounted to much.
One of the pubs in the village is closing, and so is the shop, which only opened two years ago.:( Once it lost its PO status there was no way it could be viable IMO. It will be the older people who'll be hit hardest, but it's a tough call for anyone to run a business in a village so close to a small town as this one is. It's a close community with lots going on, but there just aren't enough people, especially young families. Also too many Baby Boomers pushing house prices up......Err....hang on!:o
