I wouldn't recommend any of them if you haven't the proper helmet, boots & trousers. ;)

But the chainsaw I have in mind is dirt cheap, as thse things go:

    http://www.screwfix.com/p/titan-ttb355chn-40-5cm-2000w-electric-chainsaw-230v/92771

Doesn't get bad reviews, and customers on that site are not slow to find fault.

If it's clamped to one of the saw horses that support a chain saw, then it would probably be a bit safer too. :D

As the others might tell you, I'm a bit accident-prone! :o

:rotfl::rotfl: ok ....so hows about youse and me being the ministers for health and safety???...........NAAAAH :D

i told my son i was gonna cut some logs and he banned me and said tomorow he will chainsaw them....;) that worked !:D

I have just been a bit unlucky with machinery this year. :(

You remember the monster mower which savaged DW's wheelbarrow when I tried 3rd gear? Well, it misbehaved, and when I examined it there was definite evidence of a previous crash. The front drive belt pulley is misaligned and there's a small dent in the same area.

So, someone else had a more serious crash with it and (I'm guessing now!) possibly put it away in a shed for years. Why else would it look so new when it's not a current model? ;)

Anyway, last weekend I finally got the deck off the mower. (Injured my hand doing it!:rotfl:) so now Pete can have a go at straightening the pulley. :)

Many thanks - plan is to bribe DD's ex-bf to do it, he is a groundsman and trained in these things, but can't bring his employer's machinery home. Maybe his mother will get him one for Christmas and then I won't have to buy one for him to use.

I'd like to learn, though. Local ag college does all sorts of one-day courses, maybe I'll get a training day for Christmas.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Ctc, alfie is generous and knowledgable both. I have found the only way to deal with this is to try and reciprocate with stuff i have that she might be able to either use or sell. Bacon sarnies and another day out seem good 'payment' to me.
