  • Yay! Itsme is back! :j:j:j

I have a nice new fence at the bottom of my garden, needs painting but it's another step in the right direction. Also I have a week off work which is so nice, because the atmosphere hasn't been great lately and there's one person there who has become rather hostile to me and I really don't have the time or inclination for it. I'm going to start counting my pennies so I know how long it'll be before I can chuck it in!

Meanwhile, I seem to have acquired (ebay) a collection of knitting machines (alright, I have five) which all need refurbishing. It's something productive to do and they should be worth a bit when I put the ones I'm not keeping back on ebay. Today will be all about dusting and seeing whether my latest one, collected last night from Surrey, is rusty or just in need of a service. None of them are less than 20 years old, so they fit in well in my house with no little kids :rotfl:

Are you sure? This is Devon you're talking about! :rotfl:

Seriously, good to have you back, and whatever ther problem was, I'm glad it's not keeping you from us now. :A

Its hedgehog season again. Found two tiny blighters in the pile of filthy laundry in front of my washing machine. They are so young they were very brave, easily coaxed out of their balls. I have given them dog food and will need to pop out for cat food later.

Its a beautiful morning here, really lovely.

Itsme, great to see you back :T

Beautiful morning, out to cut the paths while DW parcels up last nights sales.

Extra blanket on the bed last night, definite chill in the mornings now.

Hardly ever see a hedgehog now :(

Itsme welcome back aboard me heartie:D.

CTC - Wonderful piggy wiggies:D. At the auction they have animal inspectors & anything injured stressed or not good they pull from the sale & the owner is given a talking to or charged - It's very strictly monitored where the inspectors cruise round all day checking the animals - which I think I think is a really good thing.

Dave - that's some shed - I want to come & live in it. Me & Alfie would only take up a little space on the perch.

    LIR - you're making great progress - excellent stuff.

Rhiwfield - a little secret - I've opened an a/c for Mr Choille too which I manage too - but I've only got 120 + listed on that!:p

Gales here & patches of incredible downpours.

I have to go into hospital on Thurs for some tests, which I'm dreading, but will be one of those,'better to get it over & done with & know what happens next' things. So might be off-line for a few days while I get back to normal - hopefully. I'm such a wuss.

Did I tell you I got some new hens, well someones cast offs - they're laying mega eggs & have really settled into their run & house. Think I'm getting on top of their scaly legs.

    Roof DONE.

Insulation continues! There are layers and layers and layers of warmth going in. The study was just brick, now its brick with a small cavity filled bit, then insulated, then hardboard floor to ceiling for fixings, then insulated plaster board. The fllors have great thick insulation things in them, the rooves/vaulted ceilings are being insulated to kingdom come too. Great stacks of the stuff arrives and then gets carted in.

I have an unpainted dresser for the utility room, that was not urgent to paint, as was not going to be used until after christmas, but now the builder thinks it might be worth pressing on into the utility sooner rather than later, so i might be putting the dresser in. I had not even thought about what paint colours for out there yet! I also think we better get on with the wood worm treatments on the stuff coming into the kitchen sooner rather than later now!!
