Just see the weather warnings that a 'big storm' is heading this way. Very glad roof is going on now!

It's not showing at the Met Office, but you have higher winds forecast, and so do we.

Sooo....with that in mind we whipped out and put the felt roof on the new chicken shed this morning. It's never a job I like, as I always get covered in black bitumen, and today was no exception. :(

Still, it can blow or rain now. :D

DW has gone to Exeter in the old car that we weren't daring to drive further than the village. She says there's still half a tank of petrol in it so she's not giving that to the scrappie! I said I'd keep my phone by me......:rotfl:

Yes, I have to get involved as a seller too, but I'm dreading all the 'interesting people' I'll probably get when I put the van on there. :(

Actually, now I think about it, the van is in DW's name.....:D

Saw the news headline about gales but the forecasts dont seem to have strong winds. Keeping a weather eye open just in case :)

Lir, very impressed with the work you're having done. And Davesnave's chicken house is a bit palatial, surprised you didnt need planning permission ;)

Oh, and Alf/CTC, just check the listings north of the border  We softie southerners are doomed :D

Well, they have almost finished the side of the roof i can see, i want to take a peek at the other side, but they are all dog phobic and where i go the two giant hounds follow so we have been holed up inside most of the day.

The wind has picked up quite a lot and the sky has been cold and heavy all day, but is now leaden, cold and incridbly heavy indeed!

Alf, it will be the total sales you make in each week ending midnight Sunday. I've done listings of 1-30 days, which can start any day of the week. Nothing to stop listings carrying on over the weekend, or month end, as its sales that count.

Anyway, one week doesnt matter that much, its keeping it going week after week that will rake in the dosh. So though I wont be listing much in the next two weeks, I'll be trying to catch up with you lot when I get back.

Disadvantage???? This from the £800 bookcase girl :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The winds and one or two downpours are here now, so I'm glad that hen house shed is watertight. It's not palatial, just well-made, and although it cost a bit more than one from B&Q, it needs no modifications, other than some perches. The other hen house has internal free-standing nest boxes, so they'll just get a coat of Creocote and go straight in. :D

DW went to Exeter and back with no issues. :)
    There's still 1/4 tank of petrol. :(

I'll get £130 for the car at the scrappie.

I said, "It's got a brilliant engine; always starts on the button and uses no oil between services."

He said, "Well, don't matter, 'cos us'll just crush un!"

I may just try the spares place, but I've been warned that they try to beat you down.:( Maybe I'll need that petrol after all. :rotfl:
