Saturday is fine....we are going to be trying to get back up to speed here.

Do you like peanut butter? There is something i have been considering trying to bake with peanut butter but have had no excuse to. :)

Furniture sales eh? Well, that bookcase was certainly worth it, it was very beautiful!

I really want to sort out my bed in the cupboard soon. I am thinking of putting it in the study to use as an occasional bed for guests until we can afford phase two (extend)' but needs a serious overhaul, which i am looking foward to.. I bought it, so i think someone else might, once it looks good, the problem is moving it. Its all in pieces now, but the bed bit is solid cast iron. My mate who stored it for me for a few years is supper strong, moves grand pianos by himself...but it took him and five other people to move this in entirity, then last time it was moved four peoe could not, so took it to bits. May be i should have a lighter bed frame made for it while we use it, sell the cast iron bit to a scrappie to pay for that, and then sell it when i am done?? Opinions?

Its not so very old, but its pretty cool, and useful. I think. I have never actually used it. Been in storage since i bought it then moved it here......in bits. You will have to climb through a hole in the wall to the inner sanctum of hoarding (haha, you thought it was just you, but wou will see i am a you in the making)

Now Alf, you dont what to see what would happen if my testosterone levels were charged up :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Anyhow, fuelled by nothing more than bran flakes and scrambled egg on toast, got 3 raised beds ready for autumn planting, weeded the front fruit tree beds, planted the potted raspberry suckers, cut the grass, tied up the GH toms again, went to tip and charity shop and did the shopping. Perfect new age man, thats wot I am :D

Alf, really well dne on the bookcase, you're a star!

Lir, hope it goes all ok.

On the other hand, if it's Hernia Repair Therapy I might go for it ....:o

The afternoon started innocuously enough with me deciding to plant some Shuttlecock ferns down by the stream. However, when I got there, I realised that a bit of growing had been taking place, so neighbouring farmer's trees were reaching across into our field pretty much at shoulder height or even below. (This is the bit where the stream is on our side.)

So down the bank & into the stream I went with extending ladder.....and a couple of hours later I have another huge pile of branches, some of them big enough for logs. Some were dead, as there just wasn't enough light getting in there. I've pulled roughly half of them up the hill and onto the massive pyre that I dare not light.

But I'm all aches & pains now....and I still didn't plant the bl**dy ferns!
