We didn't turn ours off at all last summer nor the year before, I think.If the weather goes on like this it will be staying on this year too.
Having accidentally ran out of oil recently, we had fun re-lighting it but, luckily, can clean & do that so only have 'the man' to do a service.
Having no oil meant no CH either so the house lost it's temperature pretty quickly brrrrrr but it's back up now. It takes some time to get the thick walls warm again so, hopefully, the cold snap this weekend will be a lot more comfy than the last one :cool::D
I think the red deer must be coming right round to the back of the house to drink from our small pond as something is moving a very large clump of reeds (planted in a huge basket) around. Either that or the Beast is back
my mind imediatly pictured a selection of critters..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
an escapee hippo ?
beavers?
nessie ?
or LIR's DH "doing his thing"......:rotfl::rotfl:0 -

What do you all pay for a 20kg bag of layers pellets?Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0

Aflie... lol... what a twonk i am...:rotfl: but on saying that we have an emersion sp? heater which is just left on ( cheaper to leave it on constantly than for it to heat up a tank of water all the time)
No dates or names on the back of the pics... But i would have thought around the 1890's nearly 1900's? what do you think?
Cant wait only 2 more weeks to the small holders spring show in builth...:j only drawback is we will be stuck on our stall all weekend:o so will not be able to have a proper walk around together...
anyway feeling a bit better today... the blow-out breakdown yesturday morning ( just cried all morning about everything) has sort of made me forcus so hopefully i will be able to cope with what is thrown at me over the next few weeks...
Was thinking of planting some of my runner beans out this weekend:cool::eek: with a sort of fleace fence wrapped around them...Basically poo or bust... I feel there should be loads in the garden by now,Work to live= not live to work0 -

I've had a quick look and ring round the local ones to me and it seems £8.40 is the starting point. :shocked: £12 is not unusual.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
Glad you are feeling perkier, CTC.
I think there's bound to be a sort of 'flat' period after your dream becomes reality, if only because dreams are always so much easier, while real life is full of annoying problems and difficult decisions, even when you're moving in the right direction.0 -

Just noticed, MVF pellets are 25kg. I can get bags cheaper in Tuckers at Credition, but then I twigged they were 5kg lighter!:o0 -
