We seem to have had it lightly here. Yes, it was windy &, yes, it's wet but I've known it much worse. In fact it's been windier & wetter when they haven't even given a warning - work that one out.

I've been watching baby rabbits sitting in the mouth of their burrow looking outside with extremely forlorn expressions on their faces. :rotfl:

No sign of it stopping over here yet.

Whatever was Mrs Drizabone doing, LIR? All she'd do is pull the grass out by the roots if it's that wet/long & probably dig up & then compact the earth under the tyres.

    Well that was fun

My pitch was sheltered from the wind, but 50 yards away people were rolling down the street like tumbleweeds :D

A keen green fingered type had set up shop with some well grown potted tom plants and I got 7 mixed lot of Shirley and GD at 50p each. Absolute bargain, but for every one he was selling the wind was getting another.

Sellers and buyers thin on ground, but takings average so not a waste of time. With toms in hand GH will now be prepped for summer growing.

Still evaluating lots from auction, may well put a job lot or two on Ebay, as well as selling stuff for DS2

Dry and clear here today again, guess we had our quota of hideous rain! Trying to convince myself that I want to go out and dig over another bed.

Just been out to re-align the main hen shelter and stop another small one from blowing over. Wind has removed one Onduline sheet from a roof that was cream-crackered anyway, but where it's gone is a mystery. It's left our land, anyway!:rotfl:

We use Harkamectin occasionally CTC. It's similar to Frontline. One week egg withdrawal on hens.

Glad the boot sale went OK, rhiwfield. No one is going to be buying eggs here today, I fear. :(

well im house bound today !! the rain has not stopped for 24hrs now. my garden is like a lake and my drive area too...:(
about 50ft from the crossroads outside me , a hole appeared about 3/4 days ago in the road, filled with water it looked like a puddle.. yesterday the hole was much bigger and deeper and very dangerous. [one car took out a tyre and i helped change it for her] so i put a big sign up warning people. as i finished cars started to slow down and as i was a drowned wreck wielding a hammer ,they tooted and put thumbs up so that was my good deed for the day.:) i noticed today [from my bedroom window :D] that the whole side of the road there has now collapsed. ive left a message on the highways phone but they must be working flat out as there is so much road damage round these parts...:(

anyway, ive lit my fire, im watching TV progs i didnt know existed and watching my ebay items which seem to be doing well ..:D:D funny isnt it when something [like rhiwi's FODEN] takes off when you are not expecting it...:T

i hope you are all warm and dry anyway... tho i never seem to mind getting wet when im sorting animogs....;)

    Wednesday looks nice. :)

I got the polytunnel finished just in time for this. It was quite calm in there today. If the weather goes on this way, I may start to sort out the electrics in there. Suddenly realised, I don't need a 'man' to do that, as I've many free circuit breakers in the barn supply and the armoured cable's in place.....though it's one my BiL 'recycled' and looks fit to power an office block, instead of just a couple of lights and a propagating bench.....
