alot to think about
alfie poem made me giggle again
It's the toilet & cooking side which means it's classed as an annexe for CT, CTC.
That's why we had to rip those out of some of our places.
If it's self-contained & "habitable" (food can be cooked plus people can go to the loo there without having to use the main house's kitchen or bathrooms) then, even if there's a door between, it's still classed as a separate annexe & can be charged.0 -
thanks ITSME...
lots to think about.... we have only briefly spoken about it, as they want me to think seriously about the idea..... but as you said even with an ajoining door, they will class it as a seperate unit.... mmmmmmm loads to think about....Work to live= not live to work0 -

Phone your local CT office & say that you are Mrs Triker who is thinking of moving into the area; are looking for a property which would be suitable to become your home but also to make a granny annexe for elderly parents.
Ask how that works as far as CT is concerned a) while the parents are there & b) what happens if the parents move out.
Then you'll know what your particular Council will allow but they won't know it's you.0 -
