Hi All,
wow what a day yesturday.... as you say it was bitter/sweet, or should i say sad and sweet.
You couls dee the so called 'hard nut' bikers just going into a quiet corner and sobbing their hearts out..he would have been 45 in may,
we borrowed a bike to go, on the way down it wasnt too bad. but flip on the way back, the bottom of my back, my coxix sP? was killing me, had to stop a few times for me to have a walk around..the back sissy bars were digging into my bum...plus my legs are absolutely aching from all the thigh squeezing... hubby is not the gentlest of riders he is a sensible hooligan:rotfl:
so when we got home i cried getting off the bike... done some sort of funny walk into the house, and colapsed on the sofa, and could not move all night... not too bad this morning, but now my arms and shoulders are aching...
so sorry didnt post last night
Rhiwie... today at 2pm is fine, will try and ring you later on/ late morning..
Glad you had a lovely day Alfie & LIR... its great how this thread has brought people together, and have made them into good friends....
Hubby is picking up a 8 x 12 greenhouse later on for £80:T
was going to keep it until after we had pigs on a certain part of the land, as that would be an ideal spot for it, but might ask Rhiwie what he thinks of a temp home for it in the garden, for this season..
right off to put the kettle on and take a few pain killers me thinks...Work to live= not live to work0 -

Hope the back eases off CTC - I seem to be plagued with back ache these days & it's literally a pain.
Pouring down again. Curtains of rain coming over incessantly - soaking wet out there.
Gonna do some more Flea bay listing this after.
I really should move some shrums that are too huddled up - that's the thing I do - forget how things grow from skinny wee cuttings into gut big things. Got some willow slips in a bucket for weaving into a living fence thing I have in mind - it'll screen out the neighbours from Hell - Little bit of exposed fence line - stick some stripey bamboo there last year - must go see if it is still surving. That'll keep the beggers out! That & some rogosa roses that seem to be doing brilliantly - originally got them out of a banking across the road - just ripped the runners out & have them running amok. The bees love em & when the hips come they are massive & the birds love them.0 -
Got the last of the potatoes planted. They are giving heavy rain for tomorrow so glad that job is finished.0

right now i can sit down and recall yesterday
firstlt when LIR and DH turned up here i was greeted by a TWO layered tub of the most lush chocolate brownies ....hand made
well that will allow the most ardent criminal thro my front door...:rotfl: im a tad blinded when confronted with a mega sugar overload !!:)
anyway off to meet and greet ruby, she was like putty in DH,s hands..... even when LIR and i "had a go" it was back to DH....he definately has the knack as they say. i realised that although what id been doing was helping in a small way ,i had actually been cancelling that by not following through...:o but iv got the gist now..........i hope..:rotfl::rotfl:
then on for some architecurally motivated spying .;) in someone elses house...:D
it is always a pleasure to have both LIR and DH visit as they take me exactly as i am [sane??;)] and i can honestly say natter as if iv known them years....
although i may have to put in an insurance claim as a valuable picture i had seems to have gone missing !!:D a ransom note was left saying it was bored of leaning against an old chair in a back room and was heading for purple pastures new where the twinkling lights awaited it.......;)0 -
CTC... im glad your friend had a good send off and i bet he'd of laughed his socks off at your "pelvic floor" exercises on the way home....
hope you and rhiwi have had a good day and hope to hear what you have discovered since getting your keys to the "new pad !!"0 -

Its just awesome. It makes the purple in the paint fade and the mist come out. I have tried to capture the impact on the colour in pictur, but the wall just looks grubby grey now, which is just what i wanted. Its a stunning, stunning picture!0 -
Never mind, CTC, at least you went and returned in style yesterday, and only we know that it exercised a few muscles other activities haven't reached for a while!
I hope you've had a good day today too, exploring your new 'estate.' It's fun looking at the possibilities, but the 'Master Plan' may take a while to form, if our experience is anything to go by. The same for rozee; it's important see what your land does in different seasons.....(says the guy who built a bonfire last autumn, right where one of the termporary springs dumps a load of run-off!)
No work for me today; just a round trip to Bournemouth, returning DD2 to uni in the big van, because she has so much clobber connected with her 'art'..... and anyway, the car is making noises again.....
Rozee, that looks unusual for a garden centre type of plant place, as very few still grow their own. Remember though that there's a difference between nurseries & garden centres, which often reflects in prices....and I bet there's a WI Market in Cardigan....
Ooh, look, there is! http://www.country-markets.co.uk/cardigan-ceredigion-sa43-1hj-i448.html0 -
