This phrase was uttered from my 12 year olds lips after a discussion where we spoke about University education and the fact her eldest brother didn't (couldn't) go and her other brother got an apprenticeship and so didn't go to Uni either.
Turns out a conversation was had at school today which spoke about the fact Scottish students don't have to pay the same costs as English students do. Our conversation led on from that.
Obviously raising the three of them, feeding, clothing and spending money on presents for them, etc etc just doesn't count.
Kids really don't have a clue do they? :rotfl:
Are any of yours that naive?

I suspect I probably was that naive at 12 years of age. Real life in the adult world comes as a bit of a shock to most of us, when we eventually stand on our own two feet, and leave home. I dont think we ever appreciate just how much our parents do for us and give to us till we go it alone.
See her comments as a compliment to how well she has been looked after and how effortless you have made all the hard graft look

Mine is 12 and seems to think we are poor for some reason - dunno what's gave him that idea but happy to let him think we have less than we do - will stop him asking for stuff. :rotfl:
Come to think of it, he never actually does ask for much and he saves his own money for stuff, but I'm sure that will all change in a couple of years.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219.
