Well friend came over for a cup of tea and gave me loads of hints about my CV so that was lovely of them. Need to put their suggestions into practice, as he used to run CV classes many many years ago so he knows his stuff! Saw a new job advertised that I am thinking of going for, slightly better money and I reckon I could do quite a bit of want they require so worth a shot...worst that could happen is they could say no thanks and bin my CV! xxx:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0

Good luck with the debtbusting

I know that feeling! Go for it with the job, you don't have to accept it if you don't like the sound of it, and if you don't get it, at least you won't be wondering!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hi Donner
I remember your previous diaries. Is there a reason for not going on a DMP with CCCS or Payplan. To make the payments more affordable?
I know that is isn't what you want but can your daughter get a Saturday job to help out?
Good luck with finding a way forward.
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Yeah methinks you are right! Nowt to lose. I just don't seem to be getting anywhere, not even interviews so need to change my tactics and try and find jobs advertised by companies and not agencys as half the time I wonder if the jobs even exist! xxx:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -

Hello misses! And a MASSIVE Happy Birthday to yoooooooou! I do hope you are doing something lovely to celebrate your special day
:bdaycake:
Yep my Ems is doing great...she has gone off to Cardiff today for some Cosplay and Animation Expo thing...she loves Japanese cartoons (she does tell me they are not cartoons but Anime!) and loves to dress up as various characters and go to these events...so I have just got back from taking her to the train station with her friend. Mental...when I was her age I was up to all kinds of mischief, luckily all she wants to do is watch cartoons and go to card game tournaments...long may that continue so as to make sure she doesn't end up down the park with a bottle of cheap cider like a load of them seem to do!
Had a bit of a scare with her a while ago (I think you commented on that post in another part of the forum) but luckily that just seemed to be a rebelious couple of days and she ain't fussed now and hasn't had a boyfriend for about a year...she said she can't be bothered and the cause too much grief! :rotfl:
I know what you mean about wanting to keep them young! I can't believe that this summer she will be going into Year 11 and then she wants to go to College! I had always kinda hoped that I would have been happily married, in my own home, no debt, in a job I actually liked, with a couple more kids by now but none of that was to be!
Don't think I will be going anywhere now as kinda see the wood for the trees at last. Really am in this for the long haul and I realise I can't keep going on the way I have been, making payments but still spending like there is no tomorrow and buying lots of little things as opposed to big treats!
Really hope you are well

Heay Chev! Yep I remember you
Hope you are well?
Hopefully this will be my last diary
and I am determined to stop dissapearing and get my head around all this debt once and for all!
I will look into CCCS...my only concern is if you go on one, does it mean that I won't be able to get a morgage one day? As I have to work until I am 68  due to my age now, I was hoping that in about 5 1/2 years time if not before, I could still get a 30 year morgage, more than likely on my own at the rate my lovelife is going, probably best off that way anyway!!!
Emily will be 16 in Octiber and she is determined to get a Saturday job for then bless her, won't be long
