  • Hope this in the right place, not been on here for yonks and all change!!!
Just got back from P**L in Co**wa** and One Direction Cd was marked in two different places (one £6 one £9.97) and Jessie J CD (one £8 and one £9.97) (think was album offer of the week, possibly last week) - charged £9.97 for each one so got £11.97 back, not bad £8.03 for 2 CD's (and for present, not my music taste!)
    Hope this helps someone.....

  • Just been into Tesco extra and bought two Bright Starts Take Along Carrier Toy Bar as they said they were £2.25 which is cheap for this kind of toy. Went through checkout as Tiger Toy Bar at £9.94 hence dtd back of £30.76. So bargain at £2.25 but fab at being paid lots to take them away!

Please note have had a look at tesco direct and amazon for a picture and the toy comes up with a frog in the middle. The one I purchased has a Tiger in the middle with a Zebra on the left handside and a blue mirror on the right handside. Assume they are discontinuing the tiger ones...

Also this was from the baby aisle and not the toy section of tesco.

    tested in 1 store tonight,

    BBQ £3.50 packs marked 2-4-£6 3-4-£8

when RFQS, discount still kicks in on full price so £1 on 2packs, £2.50 on 3packs.

Handy as the BBQ stock is not selling with the rubbish weather.

(just back from hols so sorry if duplicate not caught up on the thread)
  • I made a fuss about an item being double charged and was initially refused a refund by a duty manager, later given a refund by store manager.I didnt pursue DTD because my wife overheard the duty manager and customer service employee discuss me in public ,describing me so that all and sundry could identify me but more seriously slandering me by asserting I was a scammer ie a thief.I have written several letters, including to HQ which supposedly set up an enquiry. The result:no apology for the slander and asked to shop in another store! So much for Tescos aim of improving customer service.
Inaccurate pricing was rife in the store above and I often benefited from DTD so it became policy to check the receipt, hence I became "known" in the store, which probably explains why it doesnt want me back! More seriously,I highlighted the overpricing-never underpricing-because the store is in one of the most deprived areas of Glasgow where poverty is a major problem and money tight. My aim was not to gain a few extra pence but to shame the store into improving the accuracy of its checkout prices.Result:failure!Advice:Caveat Emptor.
