Tesco Misprices thread 13

Thanks for this got four Disney DVDs today in 0xford. Tons of them on the shelf, CS said they wouldn't be removing the labels because it "clearly" said the expiry date (in tiny letters), but after a bit of to-ing and fro-ing they agreed to DTD.
Glad you got DTD my tesco refused but gave me just the difference with a bit of a struggle with them. They said I should have read the expiry date. I could not even see it it was so small and we really should not have to scan the labels to check if prices are still in date.0 -

Yeh, and would they be saying that if you were a Trading Standards Inspector - I suspect not!0 -

1. Call your local paper and tell them you have been banned from Tesco etc.
2. Once your local paper is interested call Tesco Head Office (not customer services) 01992 632222. Tell them you have been asked to give an interview to the press r.e. your experience at Tesco.
3. They will put you through to a department called "Higher Management" who will do almost anything to try and stop you talking to the press. You will be unbanned, offered to be paid DTD in full, etc.
4. Once you have what you want go to the press anyway - this will get someone from the CEO's office to be assigned to you to "build a better customer relationship" with you or, in other words, stop you talking to the press again.
5. From then on in the store management will probably have your photo pinned to a dartboard in their office but you can do what you want safe in the knowledge that one email to your CEO buddy will get them in deep trouble.
I was banned from Tesco once... for 24 hours, until I did the above. Not that it's any real hardship anyway, just go to a different Tesco, they are everywhere.0 -
Just purchased the Finest for £10 at local express store 24/04/12. No discount so queried it. Manager worked out that the Chunky Chips are not triggering the saving.
Manager got the assistant to deduct all the items and then use another side to get the discount. Worked out £8.33 refund, I said to the assistant what about double the difference so he counted out another £8.33.
So got side, main, desert and Rose wine for £1.67 not bad meal, celebrating my success with the wine at the moment so hope typing is OK.0 -

If you get the Nero D'avola as part of the meal deal, you'll also get £1.99 JTD back (not at Express stores, but thought it worth mentioning)0
