That's good, and that's exactly how it should be - they created the policy and it is good to see it work without problems and having to stamp one's foot (or two)!

    £26.99 - £7.99 = £19. (the difference)

    £19 x 2 = £38 (dtd)

    £38 - £26.99 = £11.01 (dtd - amount paid)

I think you should be £11.01 better off

I think maybe she means that she's £19 better off than she would have been if she had been charged the correct price in the first place?
Remember the correct price for the chopping board was £7.99, that needs to be taken into account as well.

the tescos wafer thin ham was on offer 3 pound each or 2 for a fiver,
came out 6 pound the manager wouldnt have it, she said no thats not it and then relized she was wrong she said ok, but you didnt pay for it, as you stopped the self services transaction till when complained ,
i said you lot our just con men ,
then she said ok you can have it,
forget it i said , then she took the offer down...is it illegal as they seem to do it quite a lot, should they get fined...

Thanks for this got four Disney DVDs today in 0xford. Tons of them on the shelf, CS said they wouldn't be removing the labels because it "clearly" said the expiry date (in tiny letters), but after a bit of to-ing and fro-ing they agreed to DTD.

I made a fuss about an item being double charged and was initially refused a refund by a duty manager, later given a refund by store manager.I didnt pursue DTD because my wife overheard the duty manager and customer service employee discuss me in public ,describing me so that all and sundry could identify me but more seriously slandering me by asserting I was a scammer ie a thief.I have written several letters, including to HQ which supposedly set up an enquiry. The result:no apology for the slander and asked to shop in another store! So much for Tescos aim of improving customer service.
Inaccurate pricing was rife in the store above and I often benefited from DTD so it became policy to check the receipt, hence I became "known" in the store, which probably explains why it doesnt want me back! More seriously,I highlighted the overpricing-never underpricing-because the store is in one of the most deprived areas of Glasgow where poverty is a major problem and money tight. My aim was not to gain a few extra pence but to shame the store into improving the accuracy of its checkout prices.Result:failure!Advice:Caveat Emptor.
