HI,not sure if its been posted .......I have just come back from tesco and their meal deal wasnt kicking in.This is the deal where you buy the ingredients for £5.00.Everything was in one place....
    1 pack of mushrooms.....80p
    1 pack of 3 onions....82p
1 pack of tesco finest lardons....£2.84
    1 pack of casserole steak....£3.50
1 pack of ready rolled short crust pastry.....£1.00
double the difference back was no problem.

    total £8.96

I have spotted the mistake, its the pastry. The offer is for low fat pastry.Tesco had filled the shelf with ordinary pastry.CS checked every item against the list of ingredients and never noticed.

    Hi guys

    Just been to MrT's.

Mr Sheen original. SEL £1. Charged me £1.33. Did queue up for CS but gave up as no staff !! I'll be ringing later when I have more time to complain.

Hope this is okay. My first one on this thread. Would of liked to confirm price with CS but worth a look ?

It means you have had double the difference on an item yet the cs hasn't marked the receipt refund or double the difference, meaning you could return the item with no quibble for the full price refund.

I had a few of these the last time the disney dvd offer finished, bought 2 dvds marked bogof but charged for both so charged 2 x £15 which is overcharge of £15 so dtd was £30 meaning dvds were free. Then cs didn;t mark receipt so returned to different store for £30 back - free £30.

Is that not the same as stealing........?

DTD is in addition to your usual consumer rights.
It's compensation for being overcharged and does not prevent you from returning faulty or unwanted items, Tesco HO will confirm this.
