I've found some of the Panasonic triple pack phones with an out of date SEL @ £59.99 which scan at £119.98, would I get DTD even though the SEL is out of date?

I got dtd on the triple pack and most dtd's are due to ood sels. Its not a bad set of phones.:D

    Hi all

I'm a newbie on here and just thought I'd share my latest DTD with you.

Lindam Bed Rail - half price (reduced to clear) scanned at full price so got the item for free

Garnier Sun Cream all types - big poster andSELs HALF PRICE - all scanned at full price. Took advantage of this and bought £130 worth! took a while but got the lot free

    All at Accr1ngt0n

    Thank you Mr T

I'm so baffled by all of this? How did you get the lot for free?

I was looking at the guide for price checking tesco/asda and step 6 baffled me a bit too..

    6. At the checkout, check the price of all your items that scan through; as they may not match the SEL. If you got some items that you know are cheaper at Tesco, then put these through as a seperate transaction. DTD is applied to your basket total.

    How is DTD applied?

Step 6 above is wrong, this is the process for JTD (tescos policy to price match asda) what the poster is trying to say is that if you want to take advantage of JTD then put items that are cheaper in tesco than asda through separately as the price match is based on your entire shopping, meaning you would lose your JTD voucher.

DTD is entirely different, if you get overcharged in tesco they give you double the difference, which means you get the item free if it advertised at half price or less and goes thrOugh at full price.
Ie item price £1, you are charged £2 they give you £2 back (double the difference) and you have the item for free :)

Probably a local error but here it is.

At Salford shopping city, Ben and Jerrys Coconuterly ice-cream is selling at £1.11.

It is on half price at £2.22 on SEL but its half that again. Computer error? hehe.

When I realised, I got another 2 tubs but plenty left there. Not sure it works with the other half price flavours. Worth a punt if you are near. :

That flavour is £1.11 in my local store and it's this price on the labels.

There's a thread on HUKD about extra reductions on the smaller tubs of this flavour, so I'd say it's just the one flavour that's going to scan low.

You mean that the SEL actually is £1.11? Cheapest Ben And Jerrys ever :rotfl:

SEL is £2.22 for 500ml but scanning at £1.11 at Salford branch. They are not selling the small tubs when I was there.

    Yes, the SEL says £1.11.

The 500ml tubs of this variety have been reported as being on sale for £1.00 at Asda and that's confirmed on this mysupermarket link.

They also had 500ml tubs of Tesco Finest Mince Pie Ice Cream down to 87p.
