iwantoneofthose dot com rant

Just a minor rant to get this off my chest.

Ordered 3 items from their 3 for £20 offer a few weeks back.

2 items posted out & received on time, the 3rd item was out of stock. Logged in today to find out where the 3rd item had got to, only to discover they'd cancelled that part of the order on the grounds the item couldn't be sourced. They'd hadn't emailed me to tell me about the cancellation.

So I phoned them up to query and was told that I cannot choose a direct replacement item because only certain items were in the 3 for £20 offer (fair enough), but nor can I choose any other item in the 3 for £20 because that deal's now ended.

And they won't let me return the other two items either, so I can't get my money back either. Or any other kind of recompense.

So, with "iwantoneofthose dot com", a 3 for £20 offer is actually a 2 for £20 offer.

Not amused. Avoid.

  • Well if you've paid for 3 and only got 2 they have to let you return at their cost for a refund or the easiest thing to do would be to give a £6.67 refund. Phone them up (0844 573 7070), ask for a supervisor and request either of the previous suggestions.

I did exactly as you said.

And they've caved in. They say they'll email another part of their organisation, obtain the price of the missing item and apply that as an account credit.

And if that comes off, I'm more than happy (the item price was £14.99 at the point of order).

But I'll check in back here just to let you know how I get on.

The deal is still on, I was going to order tomorrow but I guess I'll give it a miss now.
  • Well, they've reneged on their offer. They've now credited £7.49 to my account, half what they promised yesterday. But there's no email to say the 3 for £20 deal is still on, nor did they phone me as promised.

    Useless shower.

seems fair to me, more than a third refunded

Yeah. But it's not enough to buy a replacement item from the 3 for £20 sale, which is what drew me to that site in the first place.

The easiest thing would've been to say "just pick something else" from the items in the offer, instead of this carry on.

Plus I don't like the way they don't email to tell you what's happening & don't phone you when they say they will.

    So. Ho diddly hum.
  • Well I picked something else with my £7odd ... and it's been stuck at "picking order" for a week.

    Not even been despatched.

    Useless.
  • Still not picked, nor despatched.

But they have sent a message through their internal system saying despatch is now expected within 3 weeks.

3 more weeks. For a dvd.

    Useless.

    Useless.

(sorry, this thread's going to become really boring, cos all I'm going to post is how useless they are ... every night ... until my dvd is delivered)
