recently ordered from this threads baddies: iwoot. I've done so a number of times in the past with no problems at all. However, this time they somehow managed to mistake a colour changing mug for the light-pull I had ordered. Called up, was told that if I emailed my proof of postage to them then the correct item would be shipped same day; this being Friday I assumed they would have it to me on Saturday... no such look, tomorrow maybe?

Sadly, the order is still "processing" i.e. it hasn't been picked or despatched. Now that's since the 21st of February. It's not as if it's some esoteric movie either, it's not an independent film aimed at a niche market of movie lovers. It's a bog standard 3D movie with dinosaurs, adventures and tales of derring-do.

Now https://www.iwantoneofthose.com is saying that "they're having problems sourcing the product". Well, maybe one of their staff could pop into WH Smiths, buy it and post it to me ? Just a suggestion. I mean, I paid for it 4 weeks ago. It'd be nice if they sent it to me.

I'm genuinely happy that some contributors here have had good service from this company. But it's easily apparent that I haven't. Their online reviews aren't too good either, the Review Centre website gives them a disappointing 1/5 stars.

I casually mentioned this to Granny yesterday. Granny's got dementia and is a residential home, she doesn't really know who I am but her eyes brighten up when me & the kids enter her room, so I'm kinda hopeful that her lights are on and sometimes she's in (and sometimes not, sadly). Anyway, she loved her Mother's Day flowers and chocolates and wotnot, she loves being fussed over and she dotes on the boys. She thinks she's on holiday in a posh hotel, poor wee soul.

It was funny, she went to her handbag yesterday to fetch the boys some "Mint Cracknel". I'm confident they haven't made that since the mid-1970's !

Anyway, I told Granny about the dvd being delayed. And she said, "That wouldn't have happened had you bought it at the Co-op". And as ever she's entirely correct. Mrs Cowan, the manageress at the Co-op "way back", she'd have never allowed a child to be disappointed at all, never mind this length of time.

Mum once forgot her purse and faced embarrassment at the till until Mrs Cowan gave the OK for her to take her shopping home and "pop the money in later". She did that with everyone. 99 times from 100 she was never let down and God forbid you if you were in that 1% ... the Hoxton high street closed it's doors to you until the bill was settled.

But that wasn't yesterday.

Anyway, I ramble. That's today's review of the crapola slagheap that is https://www.iwantoneofthose.com .

Still not picked, or despatched. I sent them a message yesterday saying their service was hopeless and they replied saying "they were sorry I felt that way", that they're heroically doing the best they can do to source my dvd, they value my customer blah blah blah blah blah.

What a lovely day out. The sun is splitting the trees, there's folk wandering past in t-shirts and shorts & everyone looks happy today, even old Bert.

And hey, I have some news.

Their exclamation mark, not mine. In fact, their emails are so full of contrived jollity and American cheerleaderyness, it'd make any decent Brit vomit. Don't you hate that too ? They honestly think a £6.99 dvd will change my life.

Don't you think we should keep this thread going ? Keep them on their toes ? Poor naf, I hope you get your order soon .... I'll be with you in this thread until you're sorted !

Great news on your dispatch: unfortunately this does mean its just been placed in the *ahem* capable [\cynic] hands of Royal Fail.

The correct item arrived this morning :-)
However, still no word from customer relations in regards my complaint: too soon to indicate that I don't just go away when ignored ?

Well, it's my own fault I suppose. I ought to have read the reviews before placing my order, silly me. I'm normally more careful but I was in a hurry. That's a lesson learned.
