Hi Lauren,
My DH and I were big campers (epsecially back home in Canada) before we had kids-I find it really hard work with the kids and not very enjoyable. I'd prefer a caravan...
I have great memories of canoeing for miles and miles up North in Ontario and speding a long weekend drinking beer around a campfire, firghting off the mosquitos and swimming in the crystal clear lakes.
Well done so far on your challenge,

well we had another free day today painting more tea light holders and decorating them with glitter and seaquins, have also used some regular glass jars half filled with sand to dot around the garden too, hopefully when soon when it gets warmer we can go out in he evening and stargaze (its free ok!) also making use of the bank statements and junk mail as fuel for the chiminea.
We are going to the woods next week to pick up some fire wood, i am led to believe anything on the ground is ok to pick up, is that right?
Still going strong but still cant believe i got thsi far.0 -

I reckon we have saved roughly about £220 - £240 so far, not checked my accounts today. Our budget was never very big so i wasn't expecting huge returns but am pleasantly suprised by my workings out. Will try and figure out a debt free date soon0

Looks like OCTOBER 2009 will be out debt free date if i add the £500 i aim to save each month by doing this challenge.0

Not a great deal to report today, we did our meal planner last night for the week and kinda rearranged the cubboards and found a load of tins at the back of the cubboards.
Hope i dont bore anyone but someone may find our planner usefull for recepies.
Monday
breakfast: scrambled eggs on toast (asda smartprice eggs)
Lunch: ommlette (just my self and baby)
Dinner: penne al forno
Boil half a cheap bag of pasta or penne pasta 59p per bag
1/4 asda smartprice mozzerlla ball cubed, 88p i think
thickly slice 1 frankfurter sausage, spiced sausage or 3 hotdogs
Shape half a cheap mince pack in to 6-8 mini meatballs 77p per packet (these need to be cooked before too, 8 mins gas mk 5 untl brown)
1 jar or pasatta sauce 34p adsa cheapy stuff
Mix the pasta and mozz in to a oven dish then layer on the sliced sausage and mini meatballs and cover with the passata sauce and add optional grated cheese on top and pop in over for 5 mins or until cheese is bubbling on top. Works out at about £1.30 for the entire meal and will feed 3 easily.0 -

An idea for a mothers day present.
How about making a salt dough bowl, painting it and the filling it with home made sweets, such as tablet or peppermint creams."A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining, but wants it back the minute it begins to rain." Mark Twain0
