Lauren, can I ask where you reckon your biggest saving has been so far? We have a very small budget, but since reading your thread I have found inspiration to cut back and save even more. I find I am missing papers the most, what are you finding it hardest not to buy?

You can read papers on line - so can still have your daily fix but at no cost :j
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:

I've not heard anything about the tax credits yet but get an extra £1 or so on the child benefit.. plus hubby has a small payrise which the tax credits people aren't taking into account as it is so small.. so we are ok for another year.. these here debts will fly away pretty quick!

    Every penny helps!!

according to that we will be £135.11 a month worse off.. blooming typical!!

That doesn't take into account the fact I'll have another £1 a week council tax + an extra £120 water this year + £15.50 a week to pay on school meals from September as another moves up to high school... I may be enforcing packed lunches!.. £41 a week is way too much to pay on dinners and I could feed us all for that!. Not giving much away are they??

Best get ebaying more junk lol

Ok after our brilliant month OH and I ploughed our new found savings together and paid a huge chunk off of our debts, i didnt realise how much OH has been stashing away:j We paid £300 off my sonycard, and extra £25 off his overdraft (finally got lloyds to up his payments to a flexible amount as they wanted to keep him at a fixed £25 per month and start interest charges:mad:) paid a bit off more off his loan he has finally come back to me with an actual figure and that will be the main debt to focus on with the car boot money as it's 17.9% apr

I must point out it was his ex wife that advised him to take out the loan and not me and she was supposed to be a finance assistant:rotfl: .......
