How easy is it to throw a magazine into a supermarket trolley every time you go in!!!

I was getting bad for that too, I have now used some clubcard tokens to get a subscription deal for my fav one and the others I read in the library while the kids are choseing thier books, not as good as reading with a cuppa but free!

at least you know the tyres are safe so it was essential spending.. like paying a utility bill! .. Safety first and all that!! And you won't have to replace them again for a while so call it an investment!

We have payday on Friday this week!!

    Hi Lauren,

With regards to people to people taking an interest I wanted to let you know that im not only interested in your progress but you have encouraged me into being much more frugal.

Although I havent gone the whole hog yet I have joined the Sunday to Friday challenge and im determined to stay within my budget. If I do then maybe I'll join you in giving up spending but Im not sure I'd last the week let alone a year!

    Thanks for your posts ;)

    Good luck crown.

I have had an interesting few days, my college have started to charge me for hot water, 10p for water and 10p for the cup. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL.

However they are changing the therapy rooms around and putting us in the new build so we managed to get some salon stock cheaply, i got a therapy couch for £35 and a gas lift stool for £5 and 2 coloured blankets for 50p. They needed a good boil washes to get the oily residue off as they were used for students but apart from that they seem fine (might give the white one another go though)

They just have a touch button machine that spits out coffee, mocha, latte, hot (or so they say) water, hot milk, hot choc and chocomilk. Might just take a thermos next time.

Dont think i will be setting up at home as we live in a shoebox but 1 or 2 salons in town have started opening up therapy rooms so i might have to go and sell myself, i have my student insurance so i can do home visits but am only allowed to charge £5 to cover my materials BUT if we were to move to a bigger house (same chance as rich relative popping it) then will definatly convert a room.
