  • Well done CY on becoming MF :j

Had an hour and a bit tidy up this morning, another washload, dw cleared, bread made. OH went round with the hoover, did a really good job. But reached that stage of feeling overwhelmed now, and a bit tearful with it all. I look around and all I can see is more stuff that needs doing. Sometimes I wonder when it will all end, always feel like pedalling to stand still. Am going to stop, and read a book on meditation in the garden with a cup of (decaf) tea. Am meeting a friend for a stroll in the sunshine later this afternoon, and OH and I are going to pop some stuff on fleabay later.

In an attempt to cheer myself up I have recorded my done list below, hopefully when I've had a break from it I'll feel a bit more positive.

    Afternoon all

Washing out in the sun, drying well. We've been to the park to feed the ducks, who weren't hungry at all so we scattered the bread near some bushes for the little birds to find. Saw other people coming in with whole loaves of bread as we left!

Cooking roast dinner now and the back door is open, doesn't feel like February at all!

museumworker - judging by your list you have done lots. I promise it does get easier if you stick with. I started with two time consuming toddlers, and an overflowing and cluttered terrace. I even got it clean and kept it tidy enough to sell by sticking to the lists for a good few months.

Pollybear it is lovely and bright but cold out of the sun here. I want to go and play in the garden but I have set myself a target to get this room finished.

DH is nagging me to do nothing but we have already wasted half the morning in Wickes (wood) and Go Outdoors (DS1 extra trainers for residential and DS2 new school bag)

Will it really make you feel so much better to get the snug done Hex? If so, do it - I know the feeling. However, if it won't, do nothing with DH and the boys.

DW emptied, washing up done, rubbish and recycling taken out. Lunch made (rice, stock, peas, sweetcorn) and now being eaten.

greenbee, we have a visitor on Tuesday who will sit in the Snug so I really need to do it.

I must just potter up and see how the snowdrops are doing though, two years since I moved them all now and they should be bulking up. I do love big groups of bulbs and I haven't been to the top of the garden since September!

DS2 and I decided to ski/board for an hour so we are a bit exhausted now. Time for a cuppa then an hour's ironing if I can find USDS on catchup.
