I really shouldn't have read the thread about afternoon tea parties just now. It makes me want to plan, clean and bake, rather than do the work I'm supposed to get through this weekend. :o

Got the two throws from the sofa and chair drying - it's amazing how dirty they get with 2 dogs!

Bathroom and kitchen still looking good - off to Kew Gardens today (no dogs allowed LOL) so a bit of peace and quiet for a few hours. Will finish the ironing and anything else I've missed this week.

I've sigend up to the Flylady emails - boy do they come thick and fast! Mostly testemonials abouthow good the system is, and a sales pitch for the Flylady branded goods - I'm sure alternatives can be picked up from Poundland. Not sure that the emails are as helpful as being on here, but at the moment all help/suggestions are welcome!

Oh well, shower here I come - have a good day everyone!

    Morning All

I've been awake for a while as usual but I've been sitting in bed reading. Need to get up now though and make a start on downstairs. When the bloke comes to see about the kitchen on Thursday he does need to be able to get in there and measure up doesn't he?

    Have a good day all

    Hugs

Sagaris - I know what you mean about the e-mails, that was why I ended up on here originally. The flylady site got me to make a start but the origins of this thread came out of people wanting mutual support and motivation to get on which for me it still provides.

MrsChaos, I had better not read the afternoon tea thread then!

So far this morning I have put the WM on, sorted the animals and made a pot of tea. I have a lot of washing and ironing to do, and I want to get the Snug finished.

Is it one you have to pay or a PCC one which you can ignore - check out the great threads on here?

I can't keep up with my emails as it is so won't be having an extra.

Went to bed early and feel I've had too much sleep. Glorious sunny day and a bit miffed I'm doing a party run in a town 40 minutes drive away - Why would you book that? Plan is to stay over there for the 2.5 hours or it will cost so much in petrol and I'll only get just over an hour back at home.

    WM on
Kids all need to do some homework

    Later:
    Polish school shoes
    Ironing
    S&S bathroom/shower room

Hope you can find something constructive to do while you're out Dusty. Is there a decent garden centre or nursery you can visit for 'research purposes'?

It's a glorious day here too, but I don't think I'll be doing anymore than look at it again. (I think Dusty had my share of sleep). I am thoroughly fed up with being ill and exhausted and I'm sure everyone told me I'd be feeling better by now.

Might manage to throw out a few bins full of snotty tissues, and maybe empty the DW if I'm feeling energetic.

Sorry you're still not well, have a pile of spoons :D

I'm taking DS2 with me and we had planned to go to the snowdome to practice and look for goggles. We will still go there and look at the goggles and he may go in if it's not busy. I'll take my book. He wants to shop too at the big centre by the party venue but I'm so not in the mood for that. It may cloud over by then. Taking another child with me so can't not go. Other mother will get 4 hours at home child free

Todays mission is... the landing and table up there.. it is a swamp! I also need to find the 3-6month stuff for Dot and box up the NB/0-3 for DS1 and DD1 to argue over. I am building this weeks list shortly.. :( .. Washing is up to date though finally!
