What a day today, why is it the more you try to sort your life out the worse it seems to get. managed to do some flying today and decided to do my declutter in my work bag and sort it into folders. Off to SW in a mo (so not looking foward to it as feel bloated and sure put weight on) and then meeting which will take up most of the evening.
On top of flying managed to get two loads of washing done, one load out in the sun for a while to dry will now finish off in doors, and put the dishwasher on. Worked out that if we could do a dishwasher wash every other day then we could manage to get by on the tablets we have.
Damn now ink cartridge run out so going to have to get one on way home as need tomorrow instead of on line.
On a good note brought something for dinner tonight to stop us being tempted to get take away on the way home, so dinner £2.50 compared to a min of £9.00 take away. Its easy to cook and hoping OH may cook it for us before I have to go to meeting as have an hour in between that and SW to pop home and have it.

DWx 1 Wmx2 TD on...have done recycling. fetched bins in and deposited a bag full of videos in now empty bin....Any ideas how to get rid of about 400 videos???????
Bins only emptied once a fortnight and they wont empty if too heavy at this rate it will take about 2 years to get rid of them all:eek:

    Is this any good?

Untapped Resource is a not for profit recycling company based in Mansfield in Notts. We work with long term unemployed people to provide work placements and help them to get into work.

We recycle VHS videos by dismantling them and recycling the parts.
If you would like to keep the recyclin in this country an d provise work for people in this country send us your tapes.
We collect large quantities from places in Notts and Derby but will chagrge for small quantities. You can bring them to us at no cost.

    Might be worth a try?

Happy Birthday for yesterday AJ. I was thinking about you and garden design last night.

I had forgotten I had asked about that. They have started the conservatory today so the back garden is currently a mess. Neither of us are sure about it at the moment but I guess we can't gauge it by the hole in the ground. They are expecting to be done by the end of next week, I am then away for 3 weeks so can start thinking about the garden when I get back. What were you going to suggest? It might be nice to try and plan while I am away.

AJ, firstly not to rush into anything and secondly not to get suckered into buying pretty books! I have lots of pretty garden design books, but not many useful ones.

Boys stuff ready for the morning and my walking gear. DH (aka gadgetman) will need a gentle nudge to charge the navigator thingymabob and to plan a route.

Oops... Sorry hex, that would be because I've still got your useful one :o I keep meaning to return it and then getting distracted by the next phase in the garden!

Well apart from 1 x TD, no flying done here today :(

Visited a friend, did a quick food shop, filled up the car and altered a pair of suit trousers that I need for tomorrow (funeral).

Will have to catch up on the weekend at this rate.

    Morning All

I had no internet last night so I didn't get on the computer at all. DD should have stayed at school for an after school club but decided to go to her friend's house instead and then ring me and ask if she could play out. However because I was also picking up my friend's daughter from the same club the school rung me to make sure I was still picking her up as she was worried because DD wasn't there. So because DD was trying to ring me at home first, the school got hold of me before she did to ask if I was still picking the other girl up seeing as DD wasn't in club. DD can't see a problem with what she did as she was ringing me to let me know and I wouldn't have known any different as long as she got hold of me before 4 when I was due to pick her up. She seems to think it's the other girl's fault for grassing her up! I don't actually have a problem as such with school letting her go as the house she was going to is where she goes in a morning and where she sometimes goes at night if I can't pick her up and they're always going to each other's houses anyway. Any thoughts?

    Anyway now I've rambled on!

Happy Birthday hex - hope you have a lovely day.

    Have a good day all

    Good Morning

    WM x 2 done, BR S&S done

Anyone who has been following my meeting & deadline saga may want to know that yesterday we received DS2 proposed statement of special educational needs. I now have 2 weeks to name the school that we want him to go to. Thanks for your support. It has taken a year to get to this stage.

    :)

    Happy Birthday Hex
