deposited a bag full of videos in now empty bin....Any ideas how to get rid of about 400 videos???????
Bins only emptied once a fortnight and they wont empty if too heavy at this rate it will take about 2 years to get rid of them all:eek:

CS and tip refuse them :mad:

have you got any other tips in your area our recycling centre tip has huge great bays for different items they have a big hopper for video tapes.
you could try free cycle give they away and someone is bound to ome for them either to try and sell at carboots (they dont shift so its not even worth thinking about that one) or ooffer them to allotment holers and gardeners as tape to tie plants or make bird scarers by unraveling them and trying strands around. HTH

hung a load of washing out and eaten just catching up then will start again

just done my own little HHC in the front garden
all leaves and little that had blown in is now in the bin or the compost bag
the summer planters and hanging baskets have been emptied of their dead contents.
The black berry bramble cut back slightly but not too much as i still want some berries in the autumn
and dead plants have been despached to the compost
bird feeders and baths scrubbed out and refilled

    - freecycle the vids? INSIST though that the taker takes the lot. IF that won't work give me a shout and I'll come and get them and take 'em to the tip for you (seriously).

All being well I'll get to huggle NDNs grandson later - he is being trundled round town by proud grandparents while mummy has her hair done.:D:D:D:D:D:D

Anyway - kitchen clean. Buzz, Woody and Bullseye have had their cage cleaned and been admired by my mum who thinks they are like little people :rotfl: lounge clean. Bedrooms and landing vacuumed. bathroom clean. Stuff flung.

    Hi everyone and thanks for the warm welcome! Been a hectic week because I've been called into work to do lots of overtime which has left very little time for flying! However today has been my day off and I have so far;

    Thursday - Bathroom and study
    Level One

    [STRIKE]Clean sink and toilet[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Clear the bath and shower[/STRIKE]
    Level Two
Wipe your keyboard and mouse (which probably have more germs on than the loo)
    Sweep and mop floors
    Level Three
    [STRIKE]Shine your mirrors[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Descale your taps[/STRIKE] although they are still a little scaly, this will come off in the coming weeks I'm sure!
    [STRIKE]Change the towels, sponges, bathmats[/STRIKE]
    Extras
[STRIKE]Review your finances, have you/can you do an ISA for 2011-12[/STRIKE] Already have an ISA and have sorted budget for next week
[STRIKE]Clear out some emails or favourites[/STRIKE]
    15 minutes decluttering somewhere

All I have to do now is hoover the carpet in the bathroom and sort through 1 of the boxes I still have from when I moved back home from uni (3 and a half years ago:eek:) Oh and disinfect my laptop.

    In addition to that I have also;

    - done 2 loads of washing
    - attempted to phone the garage about a service (will have to try again tomorrow)
    - washed all the tiles down in the bathroom with vinegar and baking soda (and there are a LOT of them)
    - tidied away all the excess toiletries my parents have
    - washed all the woodwork down in the bathroom

As for the rest of the week, I think the only other thing I can manage today is changing the sheets on my bed!

CY - the trip was to the sea life centre. I felt sorry for the teachers as they used last years' question sheet and it's been refurbished so nothing worked! DS3's class are a lovely bunch of kids. The other year 3 class came as well and they are the complete opposite!

Well having been out all day I need to get on with some flying. The kitchen is looking rather sorry for itself and the bathrooms needs some attention.

I've chucked DS3 and DD2 out on the green as we have 16 beautiful, balmy degrees and lovely sunshine. DS2 has a school football match so I hope he doesn't come home sunburnt!

Happy Birthday for yesterday AJ. I was thinking about you and garden design last night.

WM on and that is it. We are awash with sawdust but DH has put the plumbing in for my lovely bargain double belfast, and he is busy putting the bases into the first row of units as I type :j:j:j:j:j

After five years with two metres of mouldy shelving as kitchen storage this is just OS heaven. I will be able to do bulk orders and everything. I want to make the five foot long croissant dough from river cottage bread just because I can. And my new boiler cupboard is perfect for hanging chorizo apparently. I just need Penelope Penguin or Artichoke for guidance.
