Just wondering what company you use for breakdown cover for your old carsThe cheaper breakdown companies don't like to cover older cars I find.I ended up using RAC for a 23 year old Toyota Corolla at bare minimum cover, but breakdown cover can be quite cheap if offered with your insurance company.0 -
I get breakdown cover as part of the benefits associated with my HSBC bank account. It's not a bad deal as it covers the account holder rather than the car, so works regardless of what I'm driving. Cover is even provided in the event of someone else's car breaking down whilst I'm a passenger in it. Don't know if they still do the deal, however.mr_harris said:Hi All

I have used the HSBC service once or twice and it seems to work. You ring them and they arrange recovery by an independent firm in proximity to the breakdown.0 -
We previously had Start Rescue when we ran bangernomics. They covered up to 25 year old I think. They may have changed the rules since we purchased our new car a couple of years back.mr_harris said:Hi All

Emergency Assist (I think) is one we started our oldest on, they were pretty cheap......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple
