Hi all :hello:
Wagon for me too, wannabee_in_credit - no choice in the matter really as am down to the shrapnel, but panicking as it's my friend's last week before he moves to London... usually we go to the pub...
Good luck with your NSD's scotmumof3! I don't seem to get on too well with them... I just love to spend money... wish I had more... Glad your FIL is less disoriented, but it does sounds like it's not going to be easy for a little while yet :grouphug:
ETO - cinema prices are DISGUSTING - and my local Vu3 is gross too, the toilets always stink  - I was chirpier when I wrote my post earlier... seem to have gone downhill since then and am stressing, hence trying to distract myself on the forums! (And trying not to think about the bottle of wine in the fridge :A )
I know the feeling about not being near budget MunniMuncha, I'm pretty much red every week too. It's normally due to unplanned events like a drink in the pub or something
freebyfifty, I did enjoy the day overall, yes, it was something completely different and that I wouldn't normally do... would I rush back? No, but it was fun as a one off
I hope the move is going well pp - a gig for a month isn't much, who is the SP? Hope it's dirt cheap at least ... _pale_
Well done on your green week Barbeduk, and why not try leaving your debit card at home to avoid temptation?
Get you with your socialising dnms!!! :T But hey, fair play if you can do everything for £30 - you'll have to let us know how you get on!
Finally, welcome to the challenge nimbo. Personally I don't include food spends as it's a completely separate budget, hence I do the OS GC as well, but up to you what you'd like to include. I also don't include hair, as I get mine done a LOT more often than you, but it has its own budget! Good luck for your first week here and feel free to update as the week goes on!
LC
PS - spends for me today on a couple of naughty snacky/treaty bits for me and sister when I went to see her (we watched a film at her house)
Sun 19 Feb - Treaty nibbles for film - £3.59
Total so far: £3.59/£20

Good Morning

Hope everyone has a great Monday xFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
Good morning all
Well done on the NSD FbF, you are very disciplined though!
Just realised I might be having a true NSD today... no plans to go out or anything, and I have everything I need... wait, just remembered need to get milk from Grocery budget... so perhaps a NSD for this challenge then!
I'm quite stressed today, the Dr is ringing at about half ten to discuss where we go from here, i.e. if I get signed off more or go back to work. I honestly don't know what the right thing to do is and there's so much pulling me in each direction I don't know if my judgement is clouded. Very stressful. I'll see what he says and explain everything and then follow his advice. I honestly don't know what the right thing to do is.
Have a lovely day all...

Thanks for the posting again for this week - it really helps!
Well off to a bad start on Sunday... I have a friend over for dinner tonight and needed to buy some food in... got to the till and it came to £5.74!... 74p over. Today I needed to post off a parcel for a sale on Amazon which cost me £6.43! Realised I had a Direct Debit going out tomorrow and my account now £12.17 short... Even though I have funds waiting to clear... the bank said if the DD presented it would either go overdrawn (= charge) or be returned (= charge)... So.... time to get creative!!! I went through my book shelf and sorted out some books I never read and have been meaning to get rid off... Sold them to a second hand book store and made £14.00!!! Feel so good! My account is safe and am actually £1.83 in credit!!!... Ker-ching!!!⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

Well done AB and if you add the charges you would have paid to the £14 that makes it even more :j:j:j:jWhen you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying!:rotfl:
