Parking Charge Notice is all I think.
  • I keep wondering if its some sort of trap, surely no-one could be so utterly incompetent? Are we being lulled into a false sense of security?

Vagueness seems to be pretty common for PPC court claims. It's a tactic to make it more difficult to defend by withholding as many facts as possible.

I wonder if Sainsburys are aware that their agent is taking someone to court and the backlash in the press that could follow a defeat.

don't you get a chance to counter sue them on small claims ? can you name sainsbury in that also ? Just a thought about harassment in those 31 invoices, must be bucket load of threats in them
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?
  • Yes, you can enter a counterclaim. Personally I don't think it would be wise to do it here, as it would muddy the water. Better to win the case and then set about claiming for harassment on the back of that. IMHO.

So how do you get 31 tickets in a year?
  • Not difficult if you lend the car to the wrong people as I know from personal experience. Once, while I was abroad, I lent my car to someone who managed to collect that many in three months! He got none of them himself, but ECP don't appear to understand that, unlike councils, they can't simply blame the car's keeper.

I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
