I'm sorry Moggins but I daren't hoover our mattress... its 15 years old or so and falling apart as it is (trying to earn the money to buy a new DECENT one  ). We have a mattress protector which comes off about once a month (no where to really dry it  ) plus ATM we also have a summer quilt and 2 blankets ontop of that UNDER our fitted sheet....our mattress is now bearable, just! I'll worry about dust mites and bedbugs much more when we have a new bed & mattress, atm I'm more concerned with whether I can get to sleep without feeling the springs and wires poking through
Just made a pot of tea as I'm so cold but I am NOT putting the fire on...unless I loose the feeling in my fingers again then I mightReally need to do the CRB form.... maybe after this cuppa.
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I've got my bucket up the stairs to wipe the boys room down, it is thick dust and they coulnd't stop couging last night so I need to get it done. I sorted DS2's cupboard and he now has hardly anything that fits! only 3 pairs of trousers so, I need to find him some more sale rails here I come!! I have de-webbed the room and put all the PS games and DVD's away. I need to wash their bedding too as that will be dusty as well. DH is going for more paint tomorrow so I can get on with painting it next week, Monday hopefully.
My kitchen is wiped down, just one bit of work surface still to wipe, but that means moving everything else so I always put that bit off, the floor needs a sweep too.. bedroom first I guess
I'd rather like a snooze this afternoon as well I am shattered!

Just typed big message and lost it
Anyway, just got on here as very late night last night and having woken up at 7 and thought 'not getting up yet it's the holidays' then went back to sleep and woke up after 11!! Don't know how that happened - or maybe all that pinot grigio had something to do with it
Glad to read on here that playing catch up is not a good idea - optimistically when I started yesterday I thought I could do the day's jobs plus those from earlier in the week as I am on half term this week, but decided now any bits done from earlier in the week are a bonus rather than a necessity.
Glad it is bedroom today - I will need to spend a long time on the floordrobe and the beddrobe. Look forward to having all my bed to sleep in rather than just half of it!
So my list for today is:
Thursday
Master Bedroom
1. Change bedding (hoover mattress)
2. Remove floordrobe
3. Dust all surfaces
4. Hoover Bedroom
27 fling boogie
[STRIKE]Hoover and dust spare room [/STRIKE]don't have one - and DD does her own room
My list
1. 15 minute declutter - intend doing makeup in bathroom cupboard so will take more than 15 mins!
2. Take plastic to tip for recycling
3. Go to Mr T to change vacuum cleaner need to do this so can hoover mattress and room!
4. Gym
5. 3 hotspots - coffee table, shelf and top of cupboard
6. Do car tax online
7. Clean clothes away
8. Kitchen sink
9. Text DD with grandparents addresses for postcards
10. Check online bank and pay some off CC
Well, let's see how I get on today!
Will just have breakfast first though... procrastinate a bit longer :rotfl:Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -

I'm a chucker-outerer too and rarely have 5 things to fling never mind 27(except for today when I went under the stairs) I guess it's a good thing though so don't worry about not doing the boogie.
Everything's done so I'm just having a sarnie and waiting for the Virgin man - then I'll be playing with the remote seeing all the good programmes I've got and what everything does for the rest of the day lmao

Well, just stopped for a cuppa.
I have got all carried away with myself.. I love being alone in the house (little one is in bed) I have wiped everything in the boys room, still need to move the heap of clothes in the middle of the floor though, stripped the bunks and put the duvets in the WM's, the sheets and covers can go in the next loads. The toys can stay on the floor until the boys get home and they can shift them, I'll then vacuum their room and put on clean bedding. The dust has had them both coughing all night so it had to be done.
I have the brush and bucket at the ready to sweep and wipe dorn the hall and stairs.. all that muck and dust will be gone by half passed 1. I have 2 boxes from the new loo to reshuffle my ebay listings, they are currently overflowing half a dozen binbags in the back room. All my outstanding parcels are posted apart from the one I am STILL waiting to pay!! I hate non-payers!! They've not even contacted me with an explanation.. gggrrrr.
My DW is half unloaded.. I think I have about 6 jobs on the go that I am doing all at once.. interesting as that is it does actually mean I get loads more done. I lose interest is I only do one job at a time.
Oh, I cleaned the bath and hand basin and the tiles and the bathroom cabinet as well. I'm taking advantage of the empty quiet house rather than playing catch up. It'll all need doing again by next week!
I have also thrown the cot out of my room into the skip outside!! It has been waiting to be thrown out for a month!!! (nearer 2 actually)
cuppa gone.. off to sweep and wash the stairs! see you soon!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
