    Morning all

Thanks for the chart Fred and well done Dannie for SOTW. :T

That's a good quote, and Beanie is a good example - plodding on, but getting there, one step at a time.

Thanks for the chart as always Fred.

    Well done to Dannie.

Back to day 1 for me I'm afraid I fall off the wagon way too easily!!

Shoulders and knees have been killing me. Think it's the long time sat in the car at the weekend. Drove down to Wales on Saturday and drove back on Sunday. Too long for such a short stay. Unfortunately, it's all the fella could get off work.

    Morning all

Two lots of 40 minutes walking please Fred.

I've been on a training course in the city centre, and as the parking is so expensive I decided to check out the bus service. I was quite surprised how easy it's been, although the price is enough to make people go back to their cars. The walking was 10 minutes to the bus stop, 10 minutes from bus stop to destination and then the same in reverse.

Mazza - I need a Day One too, I've lost the plot this week as far as tracking is concerned. I nearly cancelled my WW subscription the other day as it's a waste of money when I'm not using it. I might give calorie counting a try instead.

Have a good weekend everybody - here's hoping we get the sunshine we've been promised! :D

Thanks Beanie - felling much better now and back to the gym.

Can you put me down for 1 hour Bodypump please Fred.
Jess - I think you and me need to kick each other up the Bottom :rotfl: But I feel your despair

Consider it kicked :) - although you seem to be doing really well with the exercise so I don't think you really need it.

I have to say I know I am lapsing back into bad habits with my eating. I am still not buying bread, cake, biscuits and all of the yummy things that led me to be the size I am, but finding it diffiult to resist when people bring things into work or when I go out for a meal, etc, etc ..... I know my carb cravings have returned and what I really need to do is seriously cut back on them to get back in control. Now I just need to do it :o

    Have a good weekend everyone.

It must be so difficult when this happens. As DH and I are retired people we no longer have the problems of people bringing things into work, and we don't eat out all that often. It's much easier when it's under your own control.

The church I go to has recently started an idea called 'cafe church' once a month in an evening. It's meant to be attractive to those who'd find normal church too formal or too boring. We went to the first one they had, and I found myself sitting round a table with others looking at a plate of iced cakes, buttered scones and cheese slices, for an hour. I had fruity infusion and a couple of cheese slices, but when we were asked to go to the second one a few days ago DH and I discussed it and decided not. He said it was not fair on me, and from his point of view, he ate too much of what was on offer just because it was there but would have preferred not to. They tend to have a few of the 'bring a plate to share' type of events and often I find that there's nothing I can eat - I don't want the sandwiches and supermarket cakes! It's soooo difficult to explain to anyone, they're all nice people and they mean well, but I don't want it. I don't want to be anti-social or miserable, but I just don't need it.

Now we're neither of us taking statins we can have grapefruit, and this morning we had half a grapefruit, 2 rashers of bacon and a grilled tomato. My weight this morning is 67.4 kg.

Shame you can't go just because you find it difficult with the food mc. Life is too short, and perhaps the will power practice would be good for you both?
(Unless you didn't enjoy the evening) Its also is a bit contradictory to your signature!!

I think it's hard to refuse food people have made when offered without them taking offence. I know there is someone who bought in banana cake at work - and I don't like bananas so I said I'm very sorry but I don't like bananas - well no one had told me it was such a sin to dislike banana's.

I find it much easier not to put myself in the way of things I find it hard to say no to - chocolate especially - I no longer buy it and am now also able to say no to it when offered at work and I don't crave it any more.
