Another 3 miles and 1 hour bootcamp for me please Fred.

Lolly - I know what you mean about diet crisis. I feel that I really haven't got back into my stride since Christmas. Keep starting the day recording food on Food Focus, but not completing it. So stupid as I know that this works  I don't want to go down the WW or SW route as I have done these so often and know that I it doesn't work for me long term.

Right off to Food Focus with renewed determination ....

Welcome to all the Newbies :):)

Lois - Really sorry to hear about your friend :(.

Thanks Lolly - it's the funeral this afternoon so a bit of a double whammy for me as there will be lots of tempting buffet food and drink to resist.

Having a bit of a diet crisis :(. I'm mulling along and not really sticking to anything. Think I need a fresh start, and strict rules. Not sure what to go for though - any suggestions? I've been considering some sort of plan, but I don't really know what. I also need something that allows the odd slip up without throwing the whole plan out, as willpower has never been my strong point :o.

Have you tried calorie counting? Jess mentioned the Food Focus website and I've used that in the past too. It's very good as you can log activity and work out the calorific values of all sorts of food and drink. Here's a link.

    Hi all

Today was rather overshadowed when a friend died suddenly of a heart attack this morning. She's a neighbour, one of my linedancing buddies and we both do the same job so it came as something of a shock.

May her soul rest in perfect peace :(

    Hi all

The funeral went off ok and I managed to resist the draw of the buffet table. I ate before I went so I wasn't hungry and only ate fruit - someone very thoughtful had made little kebabs from grapes, pineapple and clementine skewered with cocktail sticks. :D

I wasn't very happy with the scales today, but as I haven't 'been' for a couple of days I'm going to delay reporting in until tomorrow.

    Bye for now.
