Lose Weight 35

67.5 kg today. That's + 0.4 kg on last week.
I don't know what to say about this whole weight thing. I think it should really be STS because I've been bouncing about in the 67s for the last few weeks.
I have come to the conclusion that it is NOT all about what one eats. If it was down to what I eat I'd be as slim as a whippet. Even when I saw a local NHS dietician last summer she couldn't see why I wasn't losing weight based on the food diary I gave her.
All the weight loss programmes one sees on TV, if those people just ate normally they wouldn't be the extreme shape that they get to. Like the young woman on 'Supersize vs Superskinny' last week. She was in the habit of getting up at 2 am and giving herself some snack foods, that was in addition to everything else that she ate. And her opposite number, who mainly seemed to live on cups of tea.
I was impressed by the places we stopped on the motorway on the way to Birmingham yesterday. They have 6 types of breakfast and one is a low-carb version! There seemed to be a lot of choice. We stopped at Corley services and I had a meat and ham pie but didn't eat all the pastry. I must have walked it off when we got to the NEC, though, and I didn't have a lot else all day, just a boiled egg and wholemeal bread for breakfast then oat-bran porridge with yogurt when we got back.
I don't do all the exercise that all you young things can do. I should go out and walk round the block but it is just too cold, wet and miserable. We need the rain, I know, so I shouldn't complain! We did a lot of walking at the NEC yesterday, today we're stiff and tired, and I'm not going to aqua-aerobics this morning. Will go on Friday all being well.

Hey Everyone :hello:
Went AWOL for a while. The scales were mean to me so I lost the will to diet, lol.
Checked last night and apparently I'd put on 9lbs in the last couple of weeks - how depressing is that??? Weighed again this morning and it says I've only gained 5lbs - very odd as I never usually fluctuate by that much! I haven't been eating that well, but the weight seems to be going up and up, and I don't think it's completely justified. Going on a bit of a health kick now as I'm not feeling too great at the moment (mostly tiredness, but that can't be helped). Going to up the fruit, veg, and exercise, and try and minimise the carp!
Be back later...
Sorry for your loss Beanie
Welcome to the thread Lissarria! :j0 -
Thanks, margaretclare - I'll check them out
It's -2.2lbs for me this week - thanks, Fred.
Welcome, Lissarria! :j0 -
Hi Lissaria!
I seem to have cracked it: the secret of not eating a lot yet feeling full, as demonstrated by Michael Caines restaurant in Manchester. They serve a lunch of 4, teeny tiny portions served about 35 minutes apart! We were all complaining to one another about how hungry we were, then as soon as the coffee came round we were all magically full.
Not very practical for everyday life thoughIf it doesn't move, eBay it until it does

I am another STS This week Fred
I'd love to say I am really there at the moment but my diet head is still on holiday I think. I'm just glad the amount of junk I have eaten hasn't taken hold yet
So I hope to get running tomorrow but I think I need to give my body 24hrs notice at the moment. Seem to have this almost cold thing back again. So Exercise is at the bottom of my list of things I want to do, but off climbing now so I hope that might perk me up a little
Well done on the losses this week :T
I hope to post some exercise soon fred for this months challenge .......

Went to the doctors today, where the nurse weighed me, I am now 16st 8lbs, so all my hard work that i did last year has been sent down the drain as i think i am nearly back up to the weight i started at.
Oh well, onwards and upwards(or downwards in terms of weight)
Can i join you on your health kick Lolly, i definately need it.
Well done on all the losses and sts.

Welcome Lissaria.
A 1.75 lb loss for me this week - at last weight seems to be moving again:T
1 hour Boxercise for me this evening - arms are aching and think I now need to have an early night. Sometimes think I am getting to old for all this
Good luck with the weight loss this week everyone.

Thanks Beanie
... it's been a while
, lol.
Mandz - yes, please do- we can motivate each other! I'm in the same boat as you, I've put on so much back on over the last few months that I'm not far off where I started - it just seems like such a waste after all of the effort that it took to lose it in the first place!
Forgot to say earlier, Fred - I'm not going to join any challenges this month, think my 5 lb gain has ruined any chances of the 5 lb a month or team challenges, lol. I'm also planning on setting myself some sort of exercise challenge based on the wii, so I won't really have anything to add to the 500m challenge.
I will have a think about it and set some sort of challenge when I get back. Trying to get on the Wii everyday in the meantime - had an hour on it today and feeling better for it. My foot is really hurting now though, it seems to play up everytime I exercise, but I'm not going to stop!!! I would have thought that it would be better by now, getting quite annoyed with it .
