Wow Edwardina it might be best to get the feel of the thread first before you start being so critical of other people's choices on how they loose weight.
At the end of the day its up to each individual to hopefully find a way that works best for them.
MargaretClare~ Thinking of you and your OH.Hope all goes well.

Hi
Another 3 km on Thursday for a walk/swim and 2 x 0.5 km for two trips to the Post Office yesterday and today (OK I haven't done the second trip yet but I will!).
So up to 12 km today please Fred.
I do SW because I never feel full if can't eat some carbs. Now I do mostly extra easy days with the odd green day but never red days. Plus carbs are cheaper and ££ is definitely a factor with me. I know it will work for me, perhaps not as fast as some diets, IF I exercise and stick to it and that is the big IF!August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0 -
Hey Everyone,
MargaretClare - Sorry to hear about your OH, I hope his surgery goes well.
Well I've not been eating too badly (although not too great either), but I have been getting my exercise in, so hopefully I've not done too badly this week. I won't be here for weigh in (Disneyland on Mon!!!! :j), so will find out when I get back.
I'm planning on taking a few little snacks for us for each day we're there - firstly because everything is so expensive, and also because they don't exactly have many 'healthy options'. You can get salad and veg with some meals, but I can't remember seeing a single piece of fruit the whole time we were there last year! The only snacks they really sell are choc, sweets, donuts, etc.
The only problem is that DS1 is going through a phase of being constantly hungry, so I need lots of low carb options to keep him going without having to give him injections every five minutes. It's fine at home as we've always got lots of bits in, but most things need refridgeration - which we're not going to have.
I've got a big bag of cashew nuts (the only nuts he'll eat), and I'm going to bag them up into little portions, I've got some small apples which will be around 10g of carbs, and some weetabix oaty bars, which are 11.9g - but were the lowest by far (spent about 10mins reading labels yesterday, lol). The apples and bars aren't ideal as they will still affect his blood sugars, but are the lowest carb options I can really think of/find... anyone have any other ideas???0 -

lolly101 pork scratchings are usually 0g carbs, Lidl recently had a big pack of smaller bags for £1. McVities digestive biscuits are fairly large, not very sweet, can be eaten with cheese and carbs are 9.4g per biscuit. Sugar free sweets in moderation ? (Sainsbury's does them).0

Hey Everyone,
Thanks for that EdwardiaI don't think he likes digestives, but will definitely try some pork scratchings, and I love the idea of sugar free sweets!
I think he's had them once before but it's so rare that he eats sweets that it will be a real treat for him. The hard boiled ones would be great as they will keep him occupied for a while.
OMG! I just looked on the Sainsburys website and found sugar free marshmallows! That is crazy! I knew they did boiled sweets and wine gum type ones, but I never thought they could/would do sugar free marshmallows!
Matryoshka - Good luck with the rest of the programmeHow long are they in total?

Hi guys, hope all is well.
I've booked my first holiday with pete! I'm really excited, we're only going to chav it up in majorca, but we have to keep costs low.
So i have 7 weeks to look a bit slimmer than i do now, if possible! I'm going to work soon and flying makes you want to eat more so i will have to be strict with myself.
Hope everyones enjoying the spring time weather and getting outside!
