Oh and I am not doing today on my own either - he came good in the end so at least we are doing this bit together. Maybe a stiff drink will be in order later :D

    Coco,

wishing you all the best with this. It's a huge step in the right direction and it can't have been an easy decision.

Sometimes even the decisions we know are right and have to be made are the hardest to take.

    Phew !!!! I think :)
Suspended Pos ..... So mortgage sorted for now - it wasn't pleasant but at least it's done. Arrears amount has been reduced a little bit. Now begins the fight with the secured .... But at least I have time & breathing space (badly want to save a deposit so lots of MSE stuff to do :) )

I feel in a much better place to deal with this now the "imminent" threat has gone. I will be paying full mortgage payment and as much sec as i can manage - allowing for me and kids to be ok. As long as I pay them something - it's a very long procedure for a 2nd charge to repossess - giving me time to get organised.

Spoke to council man who was lovely - but , we have to get to the same point with sec loan before the MRS scheme comes into play so here we go again :). But I feel ready for it and there is a lot more they can do to help here so we will see. Having mentally prepared for the worst today , I am now feeling v positive !

Very tired as didn't sleep last night so chill tonight & crack on tomorrow !! First step is to write to sec loan , explain what's happening and see how reasonable they can be.

Right dinner to make & lists to write :)

Many thanks to all of you - I get the feeling you all knew what today was without me actually having to spell it out :)

And now I have looked at the house ..... I love it ....., I shouldn't have looked !!!

Boys want to see it but we can't look till weekend - maybe it will be gone by then, maybe not - will leave it up to fate I guess :)

I am mentally wiped tonight - a very draining day , but I am feeling a lot happier. And so to MSE news :

Had to do a small shop tonight - £22.00. A very frugal weekend ahead me thinks ! I have promised kids cinema once I get paid :) it's been months since we did that and if we take sweets/drinks with us shouldn't cost too much.
My total aim to squirrel away is £1000 - enough for a deposit , admin fees & a van ..... Once I have that I will be happy knowing when it all comes crashing down - I have the money ready.
Going forward my budget will be slightly more generous / realistic for however long we are here , sec loan can have the balance :)

So dinner done & cleaned up , tomorrow food organised, washing on.
I need to get up to date on unsecured balances, dates , defaults etc so I have a total picture going forward. I know I cant make dents in it yet but I am still determined to clear it all :)

So far I have £33.00/£1000.00 .... But , still have pay rise & possible bonus to come :T

    Ahh it's Wednesday already !!!! :)

Uneventful day today - spent £0.96 pence on rice for dinner. Did a couple of surveys at lunchtime. Also drafted letter to sec loan so will re-read then send it off tomorrow - hopefully I will get a response next week.

I have grand sum of £6.79 left in my bank - had to do a refund on eBay yesterday - I assumed it would come out of my paypal balance but it came out of my bank ..... Doh !!!! Lesson learned for next time :)

Apparently we will have our pay rise notices by the end of the week , if I am lucky to get something - it will be going straight over to my saving account towards my deposit ... If I haven't had it - I haven't missed it :T

Hope you all had a good day :)
