Yep, it's the bank holiday after all. There's a bottle of wine in the fridge chilling and hopefully once the kids are in bed I'll be chillin' too!! Cheers.

I've just sent my last email of the day and that's me done. I'm now off until the 11th June.

I'm going to run through the shower, get changed and drive over to some friends. We're going to wander down to their village pub and have a few beers and a bite to eat. There should be about 9 or 10 of us so I'm really looking forward to it.

I'll probably stay over so I don't have to drive. :0)

    Have a great evening everyone.

Omg I hate myself !!!! I am turning into a money obsessed
Idiot consumed with fleecing my ex !!
He just rang - would kids like to go to **** (nearby town) maybe lunch & bowling ? I say yes I am sure they would love to - nice treat for them ..... I then said , while you are there youngest needs new trainers maybe you could do that (as I have no car) will save me worrying about it. Yeah no worries - we can chip in £20 each ?
To which I say .... You can take £20 off the £250 you owe me for mort/rent if you like ......
I hate myself - it was completely unnecessary arrggghh !

I am so cross with myself !

Right , will try to forget about it now & see if he says anything later. In future I will count to 10 before I open my mouth :)

    Enjoy your day all

Morning All - hope you are all enjoying long weekend !

Just had a text to say groceries will be here in next hour (better get out of my pjs then!) be nice to have full cupboards & fridge again so am not going to worry about overspend :)
Oldest is cooking roast tonight - what that means is he will fanny about being "creative" with the meat .... While I do all the rest. Youngest is going to clear up afterwards - what that means is he will dry 3 forks & a glass nip to the loo , and never come back :rotfl:
Oh me of little faith !

We splashed out on Chinese in the end last night :) it was delicious & had a nice chilled evening. Kids were still up on PS when I caved and went to bed @ midnight so they won't be about early today ..... Until they hear shopping arrive & will come to rummage in the bags (anyone would think they never get fed !!)
Hope it's nice weather tomorrow as youngest & I are going to walk up to the "party in the park". Once there , I will not be allowed to talk to him in case his friends see me :rotfl:
He will, of course, talk to me when he wants some money !
I did ask eldest if he wants to come .... Oh if looks could kill :)

Talked lots to Ex yesterday about house - sadly we both now it's over but , will mull over what he said a bit more. Basically , he will help more , but can't promise an amount & won't be any extra till last week of month when he has done what he has to do first.... Sorry to say but - that's no good to me at all. If I start only budgeting for 3 wks which would make it easier , and he then decides he can't give me anything - I will be screwed !! Hey ho ....

Anyway - am going to call my mum later (lives in Oz !!) it's the only reason I have a land line. It will be nice to catch up & feel the need for a little "mum" support at the moment & it always cheers me up no end :)
    Enjoy your days all :)

Having spent a restless night (not helped by 3 glasses of wine ...oops!) I think I have figured my way around this :o
So issues are barely enough in bank to cover mortgage - could do it scraping everything together but this would leave me £0 to last nearly 3 wks ...... And no car. So this is plan of action :
Work out what I need to last me month , not being extravagant but not being unrealistic either + £40.
I will send payment I can to mort with a covering letter saying I will make up shortfall to them (+£157 already owed to them) at the end of the month. I get a bonus end of month & will just have to hope it's enough to cover this.
Will get local garage to put car through & fail it but get me a list of what needs doing minimum to get it through so at least I will know how much it will be.
I am then going to cancel DD for sec loan on 28th - send them a token payment (say £100) with a letter saying I can no longer afford
It - they can do what they have to. Using that money to pay for car hopefully. Having already been to court for mort & agreed stupid increase to cover arrears - I am playing a dangerous game I know (tho no suspended poss order thankfully). Even if they start proceedings now , by the time it comes to it - I will have made up shortfall anyway ?!
So , the whole thing then starts again with sec loan. But this will by me some time at least..... Ex not happy said I was going to come unstuck so, that's fine if he doesn't like it - he can pay the difference on mortgage if he is that worried ? :)

Generally, sec loan will take longer to go through channels so enough time to scrape deposit together & a months rent will be equal or less than my mortgage is ......

    Phew - my brain hurts now. Yes it's a gamble I know but frankly , I don't care anymore & I do love a challenge :)
Bear in mind a) I will be quite happy to leave here b) it will be a fresh start and c) kids quite looking forward to moving - it's not all bad ........

Sorry for long post but I had to get it all down to see if it made sense & I think it does :)

Right off to shower & get looking stunning in case I meet a nice man in the park .........:rotfl:

    Enjoy !

Oh coco, the last thing you need to be worried about is the carpets! How about start a new thread about mort payment and secured loan. Someone will have some good advice or send you to the right link. Don't know if you've seen sistafromdamista's threads but she does a new one for each question to keep it on topic.

Glad you're having a good weekend. I have eaten far too much chocolate!
