Thanks Barbeduk
so you have a peaceful weekend ? I hope you have some good books lined up ! I am sure your dh & small people will have a great time.
I promise I have done my homework in relation to house - if it comes to the "R" word , it will take them about 2 months , so that's 3 pay days - bearing in mind I have been paying £1100 a month (god knows how) even in just 4 wks ,2 pays, I could come up with best part of £2k - it's tight but it's doable .... Worst case I could borrow a deposit from my work (tho I don't really want to) so I am not panicking yetit will all sort itself out somehow.
Onwards & upwards as Masonn would say - I am not beaten yet , not by a long way !

Looonnnggggg weekend - yippeenot that I dont love my job but ....
So have groceries in for a few days & half term now so no school run to worry about - which is just as well cos I reckon I will need to leave home at 7.15 am next week to get to work on time (hour & 1/2 and 2 buses .... Yuk !!!) never mind , that's next week so worry about it then !
Right , another cup of tea then I need to do something productive ....

Right so it's 8am - the bloody bin man dropped half next doors rubbish all over my drive ..... The cats are fighting (fur everywhere )
And the kids are squabbling (one crying , one sulking) .....
I love my life :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Enjoy your day everyone

When it's done I will agree a shortfall payment on my half & they can take the rest up with my ex. Lots to think about - I thought my resolve would be waning by now but , if anything , it's growing stronger so I need to hold on to that :T

If the ex doesn't pay anything you will be chased for the full amount of the debt not just half.0 -

Very true but unless I'm way of the mark Coco is keeping them off the ex's back by paying. If she stops they'll go after him too, something he really deserves by the sound of it.One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
No it's fine I realise that - but it will also become an unsecured debt& they can't take a house they have already taken
Worst case is - it will take me twice as long to pay it off I guess !
Wait & see what happens next I guess !

Indeed you are right Masonn - up to this point I have refused to give his work address , home address & phone number (mortgage lady laughed & said I was far kinder than she would be !)
That's probably why ex is getting a little panicky because he knows once I stop paying - they will go after him as well. In fact , there are a lot of little pennies dropping around here ...... It's just taken me a while is all:rotfl:

Good for you. I'm amazed after what you've been through that you should protect him from reality.
Something that tells us far more about you as a person than anything else. :A
The fact that he has !!!!!!ed off and signed up for new car while you and his children struggle to make ends meet tells us far more about him as a person.
The man has no honour and no sense of responsibility and you are too damned nice. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
Not that nice really if you read some of my posts !!! :rotfl:
It's simple really - either he coughs up the £280 extra a month & has the kids for a couple of wknds a month (which I dont think is much to ask ) or I will let this thing run it's course. If he does the above - I would be more than happy to get a 2nd job to give these kids the treats (or even some new clothes & pocket money!) knowing that he is doing his best.
So we will see what happens & see what he has to say this wknd ......
Meantime , he has already taken up far too much of my thoughts today - so I am going to do some housework & may even take a little wander up the road & buy myself a bottle of wine - my excuse is that I need toilet paper

Sadly I found some toilet roll .... But I went to shop anyway
Only a mile there & back and it was a nice walk. Spent £20 on what can only be described as treats
Wine & trashy mag (tho free mascara so bargain really!)
4 Friday nights beers for eldest
Large bar choc for youngest & magazine
Large tub ice cream for our pudding
Bargain I would say - it was like Christmas had arrived in our house lol !
Made yummy spaghetti & meatballs for dinnerchill out tonight & see what tomorrow brings.
